I recommend for a couple of days quite

The location is good. 5 minutes to the subway. Lots of cafes and shops around. Breakfast - you won't stay hungry. There's a spa/bath upstairs. Very comfortable to refresh after 25,000 steps of walking. There's a bar upstairs, but not worth it. And they charge 300 service charges for whatever. If you're going together, take a room with two separate beds.,the rooms are small,but everything is there.
Out of discomfort:
1. The outlets charge weakly.
2. No laundry service. There are 3 washing machines upstairs, do your own washing... minimum program 80 minutes. So in 80 minutes, you have to come back and get everything. You'll iron it yourself, too.
Despite these important little things, the hotel recommends!

Very Average Hotel

I haven’t stayed at many hotels in Japan, but I was pretty disappointed with the Granbell.
We liked the location, it’s easy enough to walk to Dotonbori, but far enough away to be not in the hustle and bustle.
The rooms were very small (as was the sister hotel we stayed at in Tokyo). They were smaller than other rooms we had in Japan.
The breakfast wasn’t great and an odd mix of Asian and Western food.
We stayed for 4 nights and our room wasn’t cleaned once! The bin was overflowing and they just kept putting a bag of clean towels outside our room. I wouldn’t stay again.

The staff was wonderfully helpful . They stored our luggage the day we checked out so we could walk around the city before our train

THEFT

BEWARE OF THEFT FROM EMPLOYEES! $5,000 RING was STOLEN from my room after housecleaning. I clearly saw my stack of rings on the desk before leaving on housecleaning day. I noticed next morning 29th it was missing! No way it would’ve been outside as I didn’t leave with any jewelry on the 28th. I checked everywhere multiple times as sometimes ppl can misplace it, even let the staff look at everything down to my dirty laundry bag. They refused to take responsibility and told the police the day after to file as“lost property” and not theft so they wouldn’t be held liable even tho it was clearly theft. I asked for the general managers email and if they could let me view the footage they rejected. I explained about filing a complaint and he pretended he didn’t understand even though i translated to “file complaint” in Japanese.

1980’s core, rooms were the SMALLEST I have ever seen in Japan, building was dirty and smelt of smoke. Elevator was old and dented… avoid this hotel at all costs, look elsewhere.
