Wonderful host, gorgeous setting
Yama-san went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. From organising a shuttle at departure to taking us on a "secret trail" Our stay was lovely. Located within walking distance to the Annupuri entrance shuttle/bus stop, made for easy commuting between resorts. Everything you need if you're there to get outdoors all day and have a warm friendly chilled and not overcrowded, westernised home to return to each night. Highly recommended

Thank you very much. The secret road would have been very interesting! When I go to ski resorts, I walk and go back and forth using a secret road. I look forward to seeing you again. Thank you very much.

The owner is very rude

They have no pick up service, so we asked another hostel owner to pick up.
One of us was sick, so I asked her to give us hot drink; hot water or hot milk. The owner said " you must buy any hot drinks at the restaurant". How stupid!
Extra bed (narrow, small) costed equal with normal bed. Very exp
The owner doesn't understand booking system. I booked at "hotels.com" but the owner sent me message about cost from "Expedia". I couldn't find it and didn't reply, because that pension and I had connection with just "hotels.com site" But the owner said "I sent you anyway, so you(I) must pay"
Now I understand why only this pension was available on a high season. I never ever stay this pension again.

Wonderful respite in Niseko
Lovely pension, great place to relax after a day of skiing.
Private rooms, shared bathroom, very warm, inviting, relaxed atmosphere. Don't expect a hotel, but more of a community atmosphere.
Breakfast included, free internet available on-site.
The hearty breakfasts served at 8AM generally filled us up enough to only stop for light lunches during the day. Yama-san also gives a daily snow report each morning during breakfast, and also gave us a great recommendation for a spot to check out on Annupuri to catch some good scenery, even though the days we were visiting didn't get much fresh powder.
We also enjoyed the dinner one evening (Yama-san operates a Nepali restaurant for a few hours in the early evening, its worth stopping by if you enjoy whats on the menu).
There is a nice onsen just down the road (walking distance), ask about a discount - in general, Yama-san will help you find whatever it is you're looking for in Niseko, including transportation in the mornings to Annupuri.
Parking is available on-site as well.
Note that this property is not suitable for children, but great for friends, couples, or solo travelers.

Beautiful pension in Niseko
"Yama-san" (our gracious host) was fantastic and bent over backwards for us. We organised a late check in and that night he sent off gear requests so our snow equipment was waiting for us in the morning. The pension has a great home-cooked breakfast every morning, the room was cosy and bathroom and toilets facilities were modern and clean. The bus stop is 200m down the street and the other direction 300m is an Onsen. The Annipuri Ski fields are one bus stop or short walk away and Yama-san dropped us off where he could, including transferring us after we check out. He and his wife were full of local knowledge and the house was the perfect Japanese experience. Thankyou very much for looking after us!

Very friendly and helpful
"Yama-san" (the couple that run the place) could not have been more friendly or more helpful. I would go back there for this alone. Beyond that, very clean, well organised place to stay. Its small number of rooms also meant that the it was easy to chat to the other guests around a nice open fire
