The kaiseki meals u still dream of! It was amazing. The place was impeccably clean, and everyone that worked there were incredibly sweet! Worth every penny to eat such beautiful food and relax with my love.

Private onsen with spectacular views

We were looking for the most luxurious ryokan in Morioka for a rest day as we were passing through to Aomori. Our prerequisite was that the ryokan be aimed predominantly at Japanese clients (why would you come to Japan to do what other foreigners do?!).
Bessou Kakei did not disappoint.
The views from our private onsen bath were jaw dropping, with water being piped from the local hot spring. The onsen window ‘framed’ the spectacular mountain and lake scenery, like a Japanese landscape painting. On occasion, the local eagle soars into the scenery as you are bathing.
Words don’t do it justice - you’ve got to see it.
We’ve stayed at other luxury ryokans before, but they were mostly very traditional (with the traditional tea ceremony and the traditional Okami management structure). Bessou Kakei had the bones of a traditional ryokan, but it also had added some modern touches to maximise comfort. In room coffee machine, cold-hot water dispenser, arm chairs as well as the usual tatami mats, etc.
The ryokan manager, Yusuke, picked us up and dropped us off from the train station. He turned out to be a friendly well-spoken chap (in English) who, as well as having the necessary local knowledge, has traveled the world a fair bit. Thank you for your hospitality!

loved staying at Bessou Kakei

We enjoyed our stay at Bessou Kakai tremendously. The cabins are beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. Our private Onseng had a great view and was the highlight of every day. The owners are wonderful hosts who really tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Highly recommend it

別莊佳景的溫泉池及池畔風景非常優. 有室內池和室外池，非常適合家族或好友同行.
我覺得不優的是服務人員省著用和語言溝通上的不易.
當日接車的外籍小姐兼職司機、入住協助、第二天接車安排，最後希望我們再寫email確認. 第二天早餐的送餐阿姨除了送餐外、又要比手畫腳確定接車安排（雖然已經再度發送email)…感覺上飯店沒有比較正式的服務中心，感覺人力精簡到有點誇張.

至福の贅沢

夫婦で訪れましたが心に残る時間を過ごせました。部屋は広く居間と寝室がセパレート、大きなソファーがあり御所湖が見渡せる広い縁側がある部屋でした。もちろん掃除は行き届き、空気清浄加湿器が備わり清潔感も満点です。42型程のテレビにブルーレイがあり見たい映画を持参して宿泊しました。また、コーヒーメーカーにウォーターサーバー、飲みたい放題の冷蔵庫（ビールにジュースにお茶と品揃えも豊富）、南部せんべいに漬物と全て無料で驚きました。
宿泊最大目的の温泉は、部屋付きと思えないほどの大きな内風呂と広い露天風呂があり、源泉蛇口で温度調節も可能でした。大浴場と言っても過言ではないぐらいです。私は無類の温泉好きで全国の100％源泉掛け流しを求めて旅をしていますが、pH9.0を越えるアルカリ泉で、トロッとしたお湯が肌に優しく何度でも入れるお湯でした。驚きなのは、内風呂と露天風呂で源泉が違い２度楽しめた事です。好みはあると思いますが、私の１位は長野県の温泉でしたが、この旅で１位を塗り替えたいと思います。
食事は食べきれる程の量で、さすが東北と大変美味しく頂きました。もちろん夜も朝も部屋食です。
最後は宿の皆さんですが、受付の方から食事の配膳の方まで皆さんのホスピタリティーは高く、気分良く思い出に残る時間を過ごせました。当日は妻の誕生日ケーキをサプライズでお願いしていたのですが、みなさんで部屋に来て頂き歌を歌ってもらい妻も最高に喜んでいました。
少し高い料金ですが、のんびりと癒される宿ですよ。
ぜひ、オススメします。
長文になりましたが、チェックインからアウトまで大変満足する時間を提供して頂きましてありがとうございました。
