3 nights at Yoruya
Manager MIYA is an absolute gem.
Made us feel like we were in the Yoruya family & spoke perfect English.
Food excellent/room hit the mark/clean as a whistle/quiet & serene.

Quiet indulgence in the Bikan district
While giving us a sense of over 100 years of history, everything was of high quality, from the sophisticated interiors of SIMPLICITY, to the vessels of contemporary artists, to the original lighting and chairs. (I wanted it all.)
It is also nice to be able to read the precious books in the waiting room slowly in the room.
(The work of Kanjiro Kawai, from books on crafts and flowers to cookery...!)
The tranquil atmosphere of the Bikan district flows through the inn.
The soft light during the day, as well as the shadow of the branches and leaves of Salicaceae reflected through the shoji at night, are breathtaking.
The meals are mainly made with seasonal ingredients from Okayama.
Especially the aged sashimi and the chef's original salt were impressively delicious.
The bowls are also beautiful. The clay texture and form of Bizen-yaki tableware and tea cups by Potter Kobotoshi are wonderful. I couldn't help but buy Yamanone Glass's glass with its elevated heights, because of its delicate fluctuation and thin texture.
The thoughtfulness of the staff was also impressive, and when we talked about the brewery in Kurashiki, which is the same as our own, there was a warm surprise that they offered a full glass of sake from the brewery for dinner.
It is a place I definitely want to visit again in a different season.

We had a wonderful time.
When I arrived at the inn by car from Okayama Airport, I couldn't understand the parking lot, so I called, and he came out and said, "I'm coming now," without even wearing a jacket.
I heard that it was filled with books, objects, ceramics, and details of what was in the room that you might normally overlook looking around, so I could see and feel it carefully.
It was his birthday, so he would bring a plate to his room.
They made me hold an umbrella because it was going to rain.
I was also grateful again and again for your thoughtfulness while incorporating humor.
All the dishes were delicious.
We had a funny chef who kind of gapped when we started talking a little bit mischievously and came to us after dessert to talk about it, which was a great time.
I was even more excited about breakfast the next morning.
Stay in a sophisticated space and a really nice room, have warm staff, delicious food,
We had a really good time.
