The great view of the Central Alps seen from the window and the hearth kaiseki served in a private room with a hearth are attractive
Our guest room was a normal Japanese-style room, but I think it was the mountain in front of Mount Komagatake from the window, but the mountain range of the Central Alps looked very beautiful. The next morning it was clear, so the sky was blue and the aftersnow was shining and it was a wonderful view.
The food was also great. The restaurant is a private room with a hearth, which by itself is an outstanding atmosphere. The dinner was called Irori Kaiseki, and it was a delicious meal with mainly locally sourced ingredients, including breakfast.

Similar to Futari Shizuka
I thought I'd compare two nearby inns with similar reputations, staying two weeks apart.
I chose similar plans and rooms, and stayed on the same days of the week.
The service is similar, but not as attentive as Futari Shizu.
The clientele is not as heavily focused on elderly people as Futari Shizu, but seems to be of all ages, but the number of guests is less than half that of Shizu, perhaps due to the size of the hotel.
The baths are similar, but Yamabuki's water temperature is better, and you can bathe in the indoor bath even late at night (if your room has a hot spring, you can of course bathe anytime).
The overall renovation of Yamabuki is a little inferior, but it's nice that you don't sleep on a wooden bed like Futari Shizu, but instead use a normal bed.
Now, on to the food.
All the dishes at Yamabuki were easy to eat, the salt concentration was consistent, and I felt they were elegant.
Yamabuki won by a landslide.
Given how different the food is, if I had to choose again I would go for Yamabuki.

インターからもロープウェイからも近い
旅の最後にこちらで１泊。駒ヶ根インターを降りてすぐの立地はアクセスしやすい反面秘境感はありません。慣れない地での運転は疲れるものです。そういった意味ではインターすぐの立地は我々にはありがたいものでした。
客室からは中央アルプスの山々が見られて幸せを感じました。
地元の食材をふんだんに使用した食事は目を見張るものでした。
女将さんをはじめスタッフさん方の対応も温かみがあるものでした。
お風呂は露天風呂は眺望が楽しめずいまひとつでした。
登山やロープウェイを利用される方には立地的にもお勧めできる宿といえます。
