Stylish and functional hotel directly connected to Hiroshima station

The hotel is located on the 10th and 11th floors of the Big Front Hiroshima (the building that houses the Bic Camera) at the south exit of Hiroshima Station. Rooms are compact, yet stylish and functional. Slippers are also good, with a laundromat and ice-bender. Vending machines in the facility sell both soft drinks and alcohol at Habo list prices, which is reasonable. For some reason, there is an elephant figurine in the hallway. There was word of mouth that the access from the station was difficult to understand, but it was true that the access from the basement floor might be a little difficult to understand, but from the ground level it was possible to get there without hesitation.

Please give us a card key for each person.

There is a convenience store on the first floor, which is very convenient.
The view was great, and the bathroom and toilet were very clean.
However, the three elevators and three coin laundry machines were always crowded, and people were lined up in the hallways. I was surprised at the line of people waiting to use the coin laundry.
Also, even though there were two of us staying, we were only given one card key, which was necessary to use the elevator, so when one person brought it with them, all the lights were turned off for the person left in the room, and the room was locked.
There was no explanation at check-in, so you had to ask for the number of people in advance.
It's a bit disappointing considering how clean it is.

Great Accommodation, Great Location, Great Value

Although the Hotel Kawashima is listed as a business hotel, it's a great place to stay. Moderately priced, inexpensive breakfast, modern, super clean, amenities, and a great location right across from Hiroshima Station. Rooms are small, but quiet and nicely appointed. Very highly recommended.

Very convenient location as base of going around- Miyajima, Onomichi, Iwakuni..

The hotel is really newly developed and clean, compact, convenient. It is a bit hard to find the entrance through underpass from Hiroshima JR station as the sign is a bit hidden. But the entrance elevator is located next to Big Camera.
The hotel provides really comfortable shawer and welknown branded bed though the room itself is relatively small - Japanese size. Amazingly, you can chose the pillow hard or soft as you like. The best point what I want to say is the location - next to Hiroshima station. The main part of hiroshima city itself is 15-20 min from the station by tram (Hiroden), but for the travellar who wants to go around Miyajima (30min from Hiroshima Station), or Iwakuni (1 hour) where Kintai Bridge is, or Onomichi (1.5 hours)..., it is perfectly convenient.

A bed to sleep in

Its an old hotel, but situated right in front of the station. They do not accept credit card and this was a bit of a disappointment. There are many shops in the vicinity inside Hiroshima station. Do not plan to stay here again if I can avoid it. They do not speak english, but not much is required. Internet is free as usual, same as in all hotels in Japan. The vending machine on the floor was not working.
