Decent little hotel

This hotel just located 700m away from Shimodate train station, save the hassle of taking cab. Everything is small here including the table and TV (just 10 inch). Guests will receive free wifi. Staffs is friendly and able to communicate in English. Breakfast is extreme boredom, You only have the choices of either Japanese (Fish) or Western (Bread,Ham,Egg) daily. After work, you can always explore this small town for dinner. There's plenty of good food here actually. BBQ restaurant just outside the hotel. Also, there's a ramen shop called Ichibantei, served really delicious miso ramen. You might need to walk for bout 15mins to reach this shop. You can also cross the bridge to the other side of the station for more restaurants. By the way, this hotel laundry service does not accept undergarment :( Overall, this hotel serves its purpose for a decent stay.

Great little hotel

Your out in the middle of nowhere staying at a cheap hotel,I didn't expect much but I can say the rooms are clean, there's enough room for a bag or 2, the bathroom is a reasonable size, staff are friendly. I'm only writing this review because the hotel only has one other English review, and I wanted to assure people it's fine to stay at! The train station is a stone's throw away and there's a great little Japanese style bbq joint about 300m away!!
Don't worry, be happy :-)

Room is very small but friendly staff

I stayed at the hotel for my business trip for about one week. Room is very small, even the table is too small for me to put my laptop and documents. Another not so good point is the breakfast they serve, there are options of Japanese or English style but thought out the one week I stayed, the breakfast is always the same (egg and ham for English and fish for Japanese).
Besides the above, everything is good; staffs are very friendly and understand English (one of them even knows how to speck mandarin!). Location is also convenient; there are a few Japanese restaurants, MOS burger and a Japan-western fusion restaurant (COCO) all walking distant. Besides, there is also post office (where you can withdraw money), supermarket (Welcia) and 7-11 around the hotel.
