Comfortable, Quiet, and Close to Beppu Station

It’s okay for a one-night stay. I can imagine it gets really busy on weekends since it’s a large hotel where many locals stay overnight to use the onsen. They assigned me a room on the 17th floor, the top floor, with a nice view of Beppu. I hope they have at least two pillows :) though. It was also very quiet—just as I requested—not facing the main road. I could only hear a light sound from the train, and the guests in the next rooms were Japanese, which added to the peaceful atmosphere.
The bed size is good for one person. The room is a bit tight, but with the size of my luggage it’s still workable. There was no heater in the room, so I had to ask for a portable one, though I didn’t really turn it on while sleeping. The front desk staff are friendly, and overall it’s a good hotel for a short stay. It’s convenient to Beppu Station, and nearby restaurant.

Gradually travel alone to Kumamoto and Oita Castle

There is a self-propelled parking lot next door, which is convenient, but it is a little inconvenient to have heavy luggage because there is no elevator on the upper floor because there is no room on the lower floor. It is free for overnight guests. Also, one of the public baths happened to be under renovation and was used by both men and women for their time, so when I went out for dinner I got drunk and couldn't enter. The room was on the 16th floor of the 17th floor, so the view was good. There is also a sense of cleanliness. The hot spring bath in the room ♨️
I get the impression that there are many inbound and almost foreign customers.
Thank you very much.

Moldy and old bathroom, unreliable air conditioning; worst stay in Kyushu

Let me start with the positives first.
(+) Central location, walking distance to the train market, convenience store just opposite. Its situated right on that same straight road that takes u up to the amusement park and down to the waterfront
(-) Such an awful stay. Arrival was so challenging with long queues at the reception, followed by a 10 minute wait to use one of 3-elevators to head up to our room on the 11th floor. Corridor smelt of cardboard. Walls are thin so other guests racing through will wake one up bright and early. The room itself was terrible: (i) dated and moldy bathroom with a dysfunctional toilet seat, not heated (ii) dusty carpets and curtains; we were sneezing throughout (iii) uncomfortable mattresses (iv) exceptionally hot room for end of May! Air conditioning was unreliable and non-existent.
I made the mistake of assuming that all Kamenoi hotels are decent. We had just stayed at Kamenoi Aso Resort, which was so so lovely! Kamenoi Beppu was expensive (we paid S$230/night) and uninviting; for Singaporeans, this is the equivalent of a S$50/night JB hotel. Such a regret on my end.

Nice stay. Free Parking was right next to the hotel Edith connecting bridge. Public bath is big as well, with outdoor bath.

Idividual parking building next to the hotel. The parking lot was almost full for the day I stayed at the hotel. The public bath is big and well kept. The elevator is a bit slow. Lawson right across from the hotel. There are smoking rooms available. Although a bit outdated I had a comfortable stay
