Putting away cell phone and watch
It consists of several rooms housed in an ancient building in the center of the village very well renovated and with a comfortable bed.
Breakfast very plentiful and rich in homemade cakes and cakes that is served at the Restaurant Bar il Castello of the same management a few meters from the Beb
The engine of the B&B and the restaurant is Barbara who welcomes visitors with a smile, with a chat, with advice and with such cordiality that she never misses even if she is often busy between the various managements of her activities.
I really admire the women coma Barbara who carry on traditional family activities and indeed add new ones and defend them tooth and nail even in a wonderful but fragile territory like Abruzzo and in a resort not main tourist destination.
But this is in my opinion a trump card, places on a human scale and rich in so much humanity, with possible multiple itineraries that can satisfy all types of tourists, even more so if to welcome you there is the smile of people like Barbara.

Personal attention in a beautiful town
While I was on the first bus from Rome, I got an email from the owner telling me that she was out of town but that if I'd let her know my arrival time, her niece would turn on the heat and meet me with the keys.
I arrived after a few transportation issues and Roberta met me to show me my room. I was the only guest and stayed in a large room with a TV and private bathroom. The shower was nice and was stocked with supplies. Roberta asked what time I would like breakfast in the morning.
Breakfast was in a large room on the first floor. When I walked in, there was a plate full of breads, cookies and a bowl of yogurt. I had coffee and was offered cooked foods but had more than enough already.
I asked Roberta where I could buy a bus ticket to Popoli and if it might be possible to get my grandparents' birth certificates. She walked me to a store for the ticket and to the municipal office where she helped translate my request. I was thrilled to receive birth certificates from 1899 and a marriage certificate from 1919. The clerk even showed me the original birth entries.
I spent the morning exploring the beautiful town. I returned to the market where I had found a sandwich the night before to but some local wine. The lovely owner was excited to see me return and we communicated despite the language differences. I was an obvious oddity for November but everyone I met or even walked past was very friendly.
I took the afternoon bus to Popoli where I took the trains to Pescara, Bologna and Milan. During my time in Vittorito, I was able to take some beautiful pictures and meet beautiful people. The town doesn't have restaurants or taxis (despite R2R instructions) but it doesn't need them. The nearby town has restaurants that my cousin tells me are very good. If you go to Vittorito, Il Minotauro will take great care of you. Grazie!
