Magical Venice Experience
A beautiful Venice-decor hotel. It's located right off the busy walkways, down a quiet street. The staff and hotel provide an intimate and personal Venice experience. I will always cherish the mornings and nights spent on the terrace overlooking the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge. Al Ponte Antico Hotel has a wonderful, personable staff. The breakfasts were exceptional- don't ask Matayo for his omelette recipe, he won't reveal the secret. Also, don't miss the fresh pastries. Hope to visit again in the future,

I cannot say enough good things about this property! It was the best decision I made on our trip. Mateo and his whole staff are outstanding. Our room was ready in arrival, the views and breakfast are unmatched anywhere in the city. The hotel was conveniently located to everything and the staff went above and beyond. I will never stay anywhere else in Venice.

Extraordinary stay!
We absolutely loved our stay at Al Ponte Antico. The hotel is housed in a building more than 1,000 years old, and it has all the character and historical charm you hope to find when staying in Venice. Its location is extraordinary—right on the Grand Canal and just steps from the Rialto Bridge—yet once inside, it feels intimate, warm and wonderfully removed from the crowds.
What really distinguishes this hotel, though, is the staff. Everyone we encountered was genuinely warm, gracious and extraordinarily accommodating. Their level of hospitality went well beyond what was expected or even necessary.
There are plenty of beautiful places to stay in Venice, but Al Ponte Antico has something that is much harder to find: soul. Between the remarkable history of the building, the spectacular location and a staff that truly understands hospitality, this is a very special hotel.
Five stars without hesitation. We would happily return.

Excellent. Perfect stay.
We had a fantastic stay in Venice. I was travelling with my mum to celebrate her 70th birthday and this hotel was a great choice.
We upgraded from a Classic Room to a Suite overlooking the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge and were really glad we did. It definitely made the stay more memorable. We could sit and watch everything happening around the bridge — marriage proposals, photo shoots and the general buzz of Venice. There was always something going on.
The location is excellent. Everything is within easy reach and it was great to be able to come back to the hotel during the day to freshen up, take a break and then head back out again.
I would also recommend getting a private water taxi from the airport. We arrived in the evening and the journey into Venice was a great experience in itself. It also made things much easier as we didn’t have to drag our bags over bridges and up and down steps or try to find the hotel when we first arrived.
The staff were outstanding throughout our stay and couldn’t have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they really added to the experience.
Breakfast was excellent and the quality of the food was very high. Definitely try the omelette with everything in it! The 24-hour bar was also a great place to sit and have a drink at the end of the day.
We couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. It made my mum’s 70th birthday trip very special and I would definitely stay here again

a 4-star hotel of superlatives
a 4-star hotel of superlatives and a model for many 5-star hotels. Friendliness, service, cleanliness, breakfast, and rooms are all top-notch. The terrace invites you to linger. The location is unique and central. There is even an evening service in the room (not common for 4 stars). We thank Matteo for his hospitality.
