Lodging in history

Riccardo and Jo always present and ready to meet the requests. Small drawbacks happen, but it is the ability and promptness to solve them that qualify the structure. Great food.

Medieval journey with gourmet meals

Castle maintained with incredible respect for the original details. Every little corner evokes historical periods of damsel and warrior of the Middle Ages. From paintings to furniture, from handles to ceilings, from antique lamps and tapestries to oil filtering tools. A journey through history so exciting that it felt like a movie. What made everything so special was also the warm Welcoming and the impeccable Service. In the bistro we enjoyed gourmet dishes, jazz music and breathtaking views. Breakfast rich in homemade products served in a room of 500. We have never seen such an authentic place but at the same time accompanied by a familiar and comfortable feeling. Thank you for your Welcoming! I would add: Excellent value for money

A trip in medieval times

Easy to reach with parking just in front of the castle. The rooms were well decorated with colorful view and perfectly clean. We enjoyed aperitif at the bistro with a large selection of wines and liquor listening jazz music on background. I cannot imagine a more relaxing experience surrounded by history. Excellent value for the price and the castle tour is included!!

Big disappointment for expensive money

The old castle-like property is located in the small mountain village of Sovicille and is filled with a huge number of antiques, including the rooms.
The condition of the building is partly very dilapidated, including the rooms.
Our first room was so unkempt, dilapidated and the bathroom disastrous that we asked for another one. We were given another one without any problems, much larger and a little more well-kept.
The room service worked well.
To get to the beautiful park or the breakfast room, we had to climb difficult, unergonomic stairs every time. UNACCEPTABLE for older people or those with mobility problems!
The breakfast buffet was very simple and not very appealing every day.
For additional supplies of drinks and snacks during the day, there was a vending machine with a sparse selection of water and lemonade as well as a few biscuits.
The only contact with guests from the hotel was provided by two young women, one for reception and one for breakfast.
The only highlight is the large park and the olive grove for peace and relaxation.
The outdoor pool is not well maintained.
The parking situation is bad.
The so-called spa area is in the deep castle cellar and can be reached via difficult stairs; there is a small sauna and a few loungers.
The entire castle building has a very depressing atmosphere.
Overall, the daily rate of €150 is outrageous considering the poor, dilapidated rooms and no additional services.
We are trying to forget this miserable stay as soon as possible.

Great stay in a beautiful area!

Great atmosphere in the old castle. We stayed here for 4 nights, but we wished it was longer.
Good place to drive to different cities like Siena or to just lay in the sun at the pool.
The breakfast was good.
The staff was very nice and they even gave us an extra tour with a great view in the tower at the end of our stay!
