Welcoming

Excellent Welcoming of sig.Dino and his daughter Francesca... who can immediately make you feel at home, kind from the first phone call welcome you with smiles and caring of all kinds in this bed and breakfast a stone's throw from the center.
Clean and spacious room... great breakfast enriched with fresh fruit and homemade cakes ...

Adequate

It’s a simple place- clean, decent sized room, pretty basic. Two blocks from shops and restaurants. Heat and AC. Host was not at all around so good thing we did not need any help. Other reviews mention common rooms but we did not see any sitting rooms etc.

Bad experience

I understand that this is a B&B and not a hotel and therefore I did not expect to find a 24-hour concierge. However, if I book a room, I will indeed expect to find somebody to welcome me upon my arrival!
We arrived in the early afternoon and we had to wait half an hour under the summer sun before the property manager (who was not there) showed the generosity to pick up his mobile phone and come let us in!
I found it very disrespectful. However I liked the house and we were showed a quite cozy room (the bathroom was however super tiny), therefore I was ready to give this gentleman another chance.
It did not last long I am afraid. I realized after a few minutes that the streets around the house (which overlooks Sarzana's railway station) were very loud. It turned up a little better after closing the windows but as sensitive to noises as I am, I knew I would have had a hard time to fall asleep. Cherry on the top: the Wi-Fi connection was not working! We tried everything but nothing and of course the manager had no idea how to fix it! I badly needed internet for work that weekend. We had picked "Vecchia Locanda" because all rooms were provided with free Wi-Fi connection according to its web site!
We had to leave and look for another accommodation! And guess what? Although it was obviously his fault to be unable to provide all the services we were supposed to pay for, the manager charged us the full amount of the stay!!!
Very professional indeed...!

Fine settimana

Posto interessante per visitare Sarzana e trascorrere qualche giorno al mare nelle vicinanze. La struttura e le camere sono accoglienti e caratteristiche. I gestori sono molto cordiali. Ottima e varia la colazione. Da ritornarci.

Eccellente soggiorno

Abbiamo alloggiato in questo B&b a Sarzana, comodo a Lerici, Cinque Terre e alla riviera Toscana. Si trova vicino alla stazione per chi preferisce il treno come mezzo di spostamento. Il personale è stato gentile, disponibile, ospitale e cortesi. Fornito di asciugamani, asciugacapelli, aria condizionata, bagno privato. Scelta varia per la colazione, anche per chi ha intolleranze alimentari.
Ha un parcheggio gratuito davanti.
