We honestly couldn’t fault a thing about our stay. We stayed in a premium quadruple room with a balcony, which was incredibly spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our needs.
Every single member of staff was amazing, from reception to the bar and restaurant teams. The service throughout our stay was absolutely fantastic—everyone was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
We had a wonderful experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Hotel Ripa in Trastavere

Avoid room 213. Old carpet and decor. Mould in the bathroom. Bath with curtain around it for a shower. Shower pressure excellent though. Bottled water only provided for the first day for some reason, not refreshed at all during our 3 nights. Sockets on the bedside and around the room don’t work with usual adapters, we shorted the electric trying to use one. The socket used for the TV and fridge were the only ones which could be used with adapter. Staff friendly. Location handy, Breakast good, amazing fresh melon every day. Restaurants of Trastavere within 10-15 mins walk and easy 45 mins walk to the Colosseum / historic centre. Bus to Vatican & train station from the main road, a 5 mins walk walk from the hotel

Trastevere gem

Location is superb very close to buses are regular taking you into centre of Rome , 20 minutes walk to train station, ideal for train to Fumicino airport direct route, also close to centre of Trastevere and its sights and many restaurants and bars. Staff at hotel couldn't be more helpful, and always very pleasant and helpful. Hotel is a bit quirky with the random statues about hotel. Our room was fine very spacious, and a good shower, breakfast was good a good start to the day and the air conditioning was a blessing. On whole a excellent experience.

Good hotel in need of improvements

The hotel in general is fine, but the beds are a disaster, full of lumps, they need to be changed...the rooms are spacious but old, the breakfast is good, they have variety, the staff is good too.
It is a 4-star hotel in Rome, here it would be a 3-star, the decor is innovative and striking and it catches your eye from the outside, it has a mini gym but the beds are a disaster.

The hotel location is great. Trastavere is a great location to be based. Lovely location for wandering for food and drinks at night and walkable to the main sights.
The room was ok. A good size. A little tired. The ac didn’t seem to really cope with the room size. For us as a family of four the kids had to share a sofa bed which isn’t ideal.
The communal areas in the hotel are not air conditioned and in this heatwave that’s a problem. The lifts are exceptionally small and very hot also.
The breakfast is a grab and go, very chaotic. It was okay for what we needed.
They could really do with some water in the reception for guests to access. The ‘other’ water was actually inside the gym on the first floor.
