Would definitely recommend

Lovely hotel, very close to everything, only 10mins walk from the spacanapoli the old town, city centre 10min walk easy to get around from the hotel as conveniently placed, staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not a nice area.

While the reception staff were nice, their customer service was let down by other parts of the hotel.
I don’t recommend coming to this hotel as a solo traveller or for a girls holiday as the surrounding area feels unsafe, especially at night.
My partner and I got pickpocketed before even reaching the hotel and the street the hotel was on really doesn’t feel safe for tourists.
The rooms are basic (expected) but also dirty which was off putting.
The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours…
We checked out as soon as we could the next morning and explained these factors to the receptionists who were understanding that the surrounding area wasn’t ideal for us.
We did explain that plug sockets weren’t working properly either and moving rooms didn’t appeal to us as it wasn’t going to change the location and all the rooms would be the same level of cleanliness.
We moved to the old town (15 minute walk away) which was so much better.
I’d say avoid visiting if you are young, alone or if you’re a woman as you don’t receive refunds for unused days if you decide to leave for whatever reason.

Good morning, we're sorry about what happened. Unfortunately, it can happen in big cities, and it's certainly not our fault. So, if your stay got off to a bad start, we can't take the blame others have. Regarding the rooms, we offered other solutions, but you just wanted your money back, and that's not how it works. I hope we have the opportunity to host you again, perhaps with less prejudice.

Reply to Giovanni

Dear Giovanni proprietor, you tell a lie, my sister and I checked in late evening on wed 27th of May, you were rude, we got stuck in the lift and other guests had to go get you to get us out, you didn't apologize or ask were we ok, our room was dirty, you never told us which streets to go or where was safe, we went out and found another safer cleaner hotel and were back to check out within an hour of checking into your hotel, I told you we were checking out and you asked "in the morning ?" I said no, now tonight, you asked why once and I said becaue we dont feel safe here, you shrugged your shoulders and pointed at cameras, I said no sorry we just don't feel safe, I asked for a refund and you said no, I asked could I habe the €44 city taxes back that I had just paid less than an hiur beforehand, you said no. The day we left Naples, Sunday, we had to go back and wait outside your hotel for our transport to airport, while there we saw another couple go into your hotel and come back out with a member of your staff carrying their bags to hotel across the street so I can only imagine they saw your rooms too.

You're making everything up but it doesn't matter. Negative reviews leave the time they find. The other couple had gone to another structure because they hadn't booked with us but since they often come back to us we still found them a place near us. If you really want to know the next day they were with us.
I'm sorry because you didn't talk to me but to my collaborators. I hope there will be an opportunity to get to know each other and catch up.

Hotel Columbo a no no especially for women!!

Location central but surrounded on both sides by groups of migrant men hanging around drinking and arguing over so much as a cardboard box, very scary esp at night time, room was tiny, dirty, door was like plastic and our room was beside stairs for all to go by, v noisy, we checked out within an hour and found a much cleaner safer hotel with way friendlier staff. We were refused a refund and even refused giving back the 44 euro we'd just paid for city taxes, would not recommend this hotel more like hostel to anyone. Especially women travelling alone.

Dear guest, I'm sorry to contradict some of what you wrote: you're right about the outside environment giving a bad impression, but we always recommend the main roads, so when you came here, we reassured you about what to see and where not to go. When you left, you didn't say anything. We asked if there were any problems, and you said you had your own problems. You didn't ask for a refund. I'm sorry you're disparaging our work in this way.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room clean but could have been cleaner, the water didn’t drain the shower and that wasn’t great - we’re only there for one night and didn’t make sense to ask for a change. It’s very noise inside the building, you can hear people opening and closing doors, speaking in the hallways. The location is good, close to the terminal but in a pocket where there are a lot of transient vendors and some questionable characters at night, there was a very strong urine smell in the vecinity (luckily not inside the hotel). Overall OK for a brief stay, but I would explore other areas next time.
