Loved staying here!

Just returned from camping here - suffice to say, we twice extended our trip to stay longer. Loved the lake, paddleboarding, volleyball and very friendly and relaxed vibe at the campground. The staff were always pleasant and attentive, toilets/showers etc. always clean. The glaming tents look amazing (but we didn't have a chance to see inside). This was our first time here, but for sure won't be our last.

one can always improve

Lake Idro was a great discovery. The road to get to the campsite is not the best in terms of safety and accessibility: narrow spots, and in the town, the turn to take the road to get there is extremely narrow. The competent authorities should find a solution.
In the campsite, it would be appropriate to redo the bathrooms and washbasins: they are old and have low pressure (hot water from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM????). In the new bathrooms, the shower head is too close to the wall, so close that the faucet block scratches your back. In the restaurant, they do not speak Italian (???), so we gave up. If some camper parks like a beginner, there is nothing wrong with the staff pointing it out to them.

Very pleasant place at a unique lake

We stayed in the 6pax houses close to the reception. Camp site is not too big and has a pleasant vibe to it. You can rent wind surf and sub equipment as well as mountainbikes at reasonable prices. Pool is small (and in our case rather chilly) and supermarket offers basic groceries. We very much liked the house we rented despite the rather steep price. It was clean and offered sufficient room for us (parents with 3 girls). The camp site lacks easy access to the lack but there are many beaches close by. The lake is fantastic and we prefer it over the Garda lake. We appreciated the quietness and authenticity of the villages surrounding the lake.

Bellissimo

Struttura nuova, pulitissima e tranquilla. Possibile fare attività sportive, nuotare nel lago o in piscina.
The facility is new, super clean and quiet. It's possible to do outdoor activities, to swim in the lake or in the pool.

A hidden gem in a great location ( Stayed with Eurocamp)

Our first visit to Lake Idro but won’t be our last. The Eurocamp placements are Classic cabins and located ideally. They have large decking areas and plenty of space and storage inside. As for the site it’s on the East side of Lake Idro and is definitely one for those who love the outdoors. Hikes start from the camp gate as well as being able to walk or cycle along the lakeside to the nearby town of Crone or onward around the lake for an interesting 10km walk to Anfo. There are no large supermarkets nearby so get supplies before arriving and then use the local Jolly Supermarket, bakery etc in Crone. A recommendation is Boom Boom Gelateria for an Ice-cream on a hot day. During summer there is a boat that goes around the lake which is useful to reach the start of the hikes and Via Ferratta at the top of the lake. The round trip for a quiet look at the lake is only 7 Euro pp and well worth it for the 2 hour trip. This is a great place for all sorts of outdoor and water sports and one we will revisit soon.
