Excellent stay.
Magnificent experience in the center of Grosseto, a wonderfully fascinating palace. Super breakfast.

Terrible!!
We stayed in this hotel for 1 night...thankfully! Very elegant hotel in the city center, inside the ZTL so we parked for a fee outside. As soon as we entered they very kindly offered us a coffee but I noticed that it was very hot and the windows were strangely all open! At 2:30 PM they told us the room was ready...we went up and I won't tell you how hot it was..I called from my cell phone because there is no phone in the room and they told me that the system has some problems (I started reading the reviews and I see that they have had problems since June!!!).
So I started calling to ask for at least a fan for the night....at first they told me they were out....I waited a while and then I called back pointing out that it was Saturday afternoon and so they could have even gone to buy one!!! To make a long story short, in the evening after dinner we found a fan in the room but obviously it did nothing in this heat!!! SLEEPLESS NIGHT AND ALWAYS SWEATY!
Then as far as breakfast is concerned, nothing special for a 4-star hotel....for sweets there were only empty croissants, a tart, pancakes, and an inedible plum cake. Yogurt with various cereals and cooked salami and cheese and eggs with hot dogs for savory!
So the moral of the story IS A SHAMEFUL THING THAT A 4-STAR HOTEL PROVIDES THIS SERVICE

Terrible experience, the air conditioning system was broken.
I share most of the reviews prior to mine (the building is dated but still well presented, good breakfast, clean rooms), but I cannot overlook the night spent two days ago in a triple room on the 4th floor (attic). The air conditioning system was broken... result: over 30 degrees in the room all night. Question: what if this had happened to a family with a small child? Malfunctions happen, of course, but proactive reactions can also exist... how about checking the floors to see how to best assist the guests? Especially on the 4th floor? Providing some fans? None of this happened. And I find that truly unacceptable. I request that at least a response be given by management to my review, explaining and offering apologies that will not change things but will at least give the impression that there is management. An experience worth repeating more than once.
Stunning hotel. The staff is up to the various situations that arise and welcomes you with the smile of those who know their job well.

Hotel is lovely and staff were very helpful. It is in a fantastic location in the heart of the city. However, room is not soundproofed, we could hear people going to the toilet in the room upstairs and a dog barking across the street for hours during the night. Breakfast was just OK.
