Paradise in Forio
I am a travel agent... and I can assure you that at the Hotel Albatros in Forio...
I would return! And I will send many clients there!
First of all: It feels like home and you will find smiles, good advice, laughter, and friendliness...
Strong points of the property:
- location (15 minutes on foot from the center, doable both in the evening and during the day, otherwise a bus passes by but it is infrequent) I do not recommend taxis, expensive!!!! Forio in the evening is very cute, shops open, restaurants, ice cream parlors, bars, events, music...
- food every day very delicious with choices for every need
- impeccable cleanliness of the rooms and common areas
- we had a shuttle and beach service included for Citara, one of the most beautiful beaches in the area.
- pool with a spectacular view. 3 times a week aperi-music from 6:30 PM. It is possible to have lunch at the pool with a good selection. Pool clean and well-maintained.
I thank first and foremost Marco and Sunlux with whom I booked because they have always been a guarantee and I finally tried it firsthand.

I thank Rosa for the shuttle service.
I thank Cinzia from the Sunlux red carpet service, always available via cell phone to answer any question.

A joke of a 2-star hotel that passed itself off as a 4-star hotel
We ended up at the Albatros hotel after a bad experience at a B&B in Procida, but this property was no better. When we arrived at the property, we were told there was a shuttle, but it wasn't really a shuttle because you had to book it if you needed it for an emergency or because you decided to go somewhere suddenly, otherwise it was taxi or on foot, and there were limited hours, like from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM maximum, you decide. Then, to top it off, we arrived at the property already late, by the time we unpacked our suitcases it was around 7:00 PM. We booked the hotel restaurant for 8:30 PM, the reception had confirmed the booking, just because we were tired from the day and wanted to have dinner and go to sleep without having to go around to eat, okay. At 8:30 PM sharp we showed up at the restaurant and the head waiter said, look, what you see on the menu I only cook for my clients. I was disgusted, annoyed, I don't even know how to describe it, I said to him: look, we booked at this hotel, we booked at 7:00 PM, and he replied, yes, but it's late, you have to book the
morning, at the moment I can only make spaghetti with tomato sauce and garlic and oil. I replied, hahaha, okay, that means you are the chef, you are not capable of managing a property like this because we would have even preferred a single type of dish for 9 people, that is, we had seen pasta with octopus ragu, we weren't asking for anything elaborate, but you can't answer me 'I only prepare for my clients', a real disappointment. Then, in addition, we had booked a triple room with a double bed and a single bed, we go in and I find two singles pushed together and one to the side. I go to report it and they don't change it for me, that is, they tell me 'we have all the rooms like this here because when we book for young people we separate them and that's how we offer the service to young people'. What an answer, that is, my wife and I have always booked a triple room, never a double bed made of two singles pushed together, that is, the married client has to adapt to the single young people, not that the hotel has to adapt to the clients, what a horror. Then I forgot one thing that stuck with me, that is, the reception tells the porter to take us to the room, along the way there were about 50 steps and he doesn't carry the suitcase, I carry it, thanks. And this is a 4-star hotel? For me, it's more of a 2-star hotel, 4-star hotels offer much, much higher services. We travel the world, especially B&Bs on the coast offer very high services, it's true you pay a few 100€ more, but it's worth it when everything is professional.

BREATHTAKING VIEW❤️
Located in the municipality of Forio, on one of the most beautiful spots on the island, Hotel Albatros is a gem to keep in mind for your trips to Ischia. From the terrace of this fantastic hotel you can admire the best Ischian sunsets while sipping a drink or taking a dip in the pool, all accompanied by good music and bar service. The pool offers hydromassage. There is a spa service with massages and wellness treatments at advantageous costs. There is no shortage of agreements and discounts for various attractions on the island. The cleanliness of the rooms is impeccable. We had a sea-front double room with a small balcony with a wonderful view. Breakfast in the morning is abundant and varied. A free shuttle service is available to guests to/from the port of Forio and Citara beach. The staff is kind and ready for any request. Truly an excellent experience here in Ischia.

A Truly Special Stay
A Beautiful Experience!
Wonderful rooms and being a family of 5 people we had two rooms and they were close and connected by the terrace. I thank the Reception for making sure it was like that!
MAGICAL view at every hour, especially at sunset!
Stunning pool and all the staff very kind, competent in giving us every type of information.
The shuttle lady was super helpful!

Kind and welcoming staff
Excellent hotel location. Staff always kind and helpful. The shuttle service to the beaches is also excellent. Very hearty breakfast. Room with a spectacular view. Very clean environments. Worth returning to.
