Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Hospitality!
We had a wonderful stay at Trinacria View. Guiseppe was an outstanding host from beginning to end. He communicated all the information we needed to enter the building and the apartment before we arrived and was there to greet us in the morning as he kindly let us leave our luggage before we checked in. He gave us lots of useful information about where to visit in the city and restaurant recommendations as well as helping us organise our transfer to the airport. He messaged us during our trip just to make sure everything was OK and if he could help with anything.
The B&B was lovely and in the perfect location only a few minutes’ walk to the main cathedral square. The room was spacious, clean and homely with a lovely terrace that had a beautiful view over the city. There was also a safe and fridge in the room with good air con and shower and comfortable bed. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Catania. We will be back soon!
The B&B was lovely and in the perfect location only a few minutes’ walk to the main cathedral square. The room was spacious, clean and homely with a lovely terrace that had a beautiful view over the city. There was also a safe and fridge in the room with good air con and shower and comfortable bed. Very happy to come back!
I can only praise the Trinacria View and will recommend it to any friend who travels to Catania.
Rooms: My room was very clean and had everything you need, I didn't miss anything. I even had a sea view from both the window and the balcony.
For shared use there is a kitchen in the B&B where you can use everything and may also help yourself to the fridge. For your own things there is a private fridge in the room.
Location: The location was perfect for me, you are in 5min in the center and has everything you need right around you. Directly underneath a very good pizza to go, next door a small bakery and a few steps further a mini market.
Hosted by: Giuseppe is a host with body and soul. Before arrival he has already contacted, clarified a few basic things and on request gave tips where I can park.
I was then warmly welcomed by him and guided through the B&B and my room.
On a defect that occurred on the first night he responded immediately, was 5min after I notified on the spot and has immediately started to fix the problem.
By coincidence I was there for Catania’s biggest festival Festa di Sant’Agata and Giuseppe showed me the best place to see the impressive fireworks. I think that's all I need to say about Giuseppe to show how passionate he is about it.
Finally, I can only repeat that I can recommend the Trinacria View and Giuseppe as a host without restriction and when I come back I will definitely book there again!

Great location. Great accommodation!
Great location with secure parking nearby.
Clean, spacious accommodation that ticked all the boxes! I would recommend this place to stay to everyone I know.
Superb position for easy walking to everything you would want to see in Catania.
The host Guiseppie was helpful and only wanted to help.

We had booked a week in August, but due to the eruption of Etna, all flights were canceled.
Normally, hosts show some goodwill in such case, but Giuseppe did not - he placed the full cost on us. He took our money and re-rented our room. This means he profited twice from someone else's misfortune. Shame on him!

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place. We had booked a week in August, but due to the eruption of Mount Etna, all flights were canceled, and we couldn’t reach our destination. Despite these extraordinary circumstances (for both guests and hosts), our request for a partial refund was denied by Giuseppe (see also the review by Sebastian M., where Giuseppe retaliated against the negative feedback).
Normally, hosts show some goodwill in such cases, but Giuseppe did not; instead, he placed the full cost on us. In the end, we paid 1,000 euros for nothing. Given that this behavior seems to be a pattern with Giuseppe, we definitely do not recommend this accommodation but strongly advise against it. Giuseppe had already informed us that if we did not show up, he would relist the apartment, which should not be difficult during the high season, and he would ultimately profit twice.
This is not honest business conduct, and Giuseppe has no business giving recommendations to other hosts, as he did in his response to Sebastian’s review—ridiculous. Communication was also very difficult, as Giuseppe neither speaks German nor English and doesn’t answer the phone.
