Magnificent hotel, even better staff

Our stay at the hotel S
Smeraldo was fantastic. The location is perfect; you just have to cross the street and you are on the beach. The hotel provides lounge chairs and umbrellas, and the view is idyllic. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast is excellent and varied; even I, who have many food intolerances, always found a wide selection. The best thing, however, was definitely the kindness, helpfulness, and humanity of the staff, from the front desk to the kitchen and the dining room. During our stay, we had an emergency and had to go to the hospital; the entire staff, without exception, supported us with the logistics and accommodated us, even offering to look after our dogs while we were away and to support us emotionally and logistically. Not only great professionals but, above all, wonderful people. We will definitely be back.

Too bad about the money and the stomach!

We were not hotel guests, but simply wanted to eat here comfortably – unfortunately a mistake.
At the first table it was suddenly “reserved”, with no sign or notice, so we moved. The service was friendly but not attentive. Pizza was not available (info unfortunately only after ordering), instead we waited almost an hour for our food. Dishes were then served for €16 – including prepackaged mayo and ketchup sachets like McDonald’s. Flavored weak, visually embarrassing, in the end stomach pain free of charge.

Great view, friendly staff, good food!

The owners of the Hotel Smeraldo are very friendly and helpful. We stayed there for 4 nights and felt very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is small but plentiful; to get to Lake Garda you have to cross the street, but there are enough places to lie down and there are free loungers and parasols available; the hotel itself also offers dinner in the in-house restaurant, which consists of a selection of pasta and pizza dishes and is very tasty; the rooms are very simple and seem a bit old-fashioned, but are clean and are cleaned daily; there are parking spaces in front of the hotel and across the street that are reserved for hotel guests.
All in all, we had a really great time and can highly recommend the hotel!

Hotel Smeraldo Lake Garda

Family run hotel with fantastic friendly service. Good restaurant, we had pizza and blue mussels which were perfect. Great breakfast with all you need.
Best of all the personal service.
Perfect location outside the most busy areas.
Private parking, no problem.

Good budget hotel with use if sister hotel opposite - hotel Paul . . Rooms decent size . . Clean . . Modern . . But no bar or social area - better to stay across the road with full amenities and garden bar kiosk
