Perfect country house

We are staying at this property for several nights at the end of our personal tour of Basilicata; what can I say...splendid property surrounded by greenery 300 meters from the center (with the feeling of being far from any kind of chaos), with an enchanting pool, with owners who are nice and always available to give useful advice for the vacation. Optimal cleanliness, varied breakfast...everything perfect. A special thanks to Enrico...and who knows, maybe see you again

A place ruined by the management

The property is truly very beautiful, extremely well-maintained, and, in my opinion, the photos on Booking do not do it justice in the slightest. Unfortunately, however, our experience was compromised by guest management that we found extremely unprofessional.
We spent a weekend here among friends and, although our behavior was always polite and respectful, we were treated from the beginning like a group to be constantly kept under control, almost as if we were a problem even before we had created one.
The first night we simply stopped to talk by the pool, without music, without shouting, and without any kind of party. Around 12:30 AM we were contacted because other guests had allegedly complained about the noise. A report of that kind is absolutely legitimate and it would have been enough to communicate it to us normally. What is not normal is accompanying it with an invitation to go back to where we came from.
The following day the situation became even more burdensome. For a barbecue that we had expressly requested and agreed upon before the stay, over the course of just one afternoon we were called back countless times, with continuous pressure and decidedly inappropriate remarks. Close to the evening, we were even contacted to see if we had already bought the meat and to suggest, as an alternative, that we go to a local festival in town. At that point, the feeling was no longer that of receiving simple instructions from the property, but of being subjected to constant pressure to change our plans.
Breakfast was also disappointing. The lady in charge of preparing drinks was rude and impolite every morning; furthermore, the lactose-free breakfast, requested and CONFIRMED in advance before our stay, was essentially reduced to some packaged dry cookies.
The real problem with this stay, therefore, was not a single episode, but the whole: constant phone calls, pressure, inappropriate remarks, lack of courtesy, and the constant feeling of being considered a nuisance rather than guests.
A real shame, because the property is truly very deserving. The management of the relationship with guests, unfortunately, definitely is not.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of Bernalda! Clean comfortable hotel great staff, lovely clean pool!

Visited with my son to see our family it’s our first time at this hotel. Stunning hotel, the gardens are so well kept and beautiful. The staff are all so helpful, rooms are clean. Breakfast is lovely, good coffee! Highly recommend, great location just a short walk into the town. Cannot wait to return thank you for a wonderful stay.

Relaxation and Authentic Welcoming in the Heart of Basilicata

We stayed at the Hotel Giardino Giamperduto and we can only give full marks. The structure is cared for in every detail and the impeccable cleanliness is noticeable from the first moment. The location is great, quiet but close to the center, ideal for visiting Bernalda and surroundings, and is also a strategic point to reach the beautiful beaches of the area by car. The breakfast is rich and genuine, perfect to start the day, while the pool is a really nice relaxing corner. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained, and the Service deserves a special mention: Enrico is always available, attentive to the needs of guests and knows how to give valuable advice both on places to visit and on the best places to eat. An extra touch of sympathy is given by the kittens that run around the structure, sweet and never intrusive. Highly recommended!

Fabulous stay

Also for our family, two adults and two small children, it was a fabulous stay. Very nice, nice, quiet and clean location, from the pool to the breakfast room. Very kind and attentive to our needs Mr. Enrico and all the staff, we hope to return soon as the best reference in the area of Metaponto!
