View, View, View!!

A very special property. Amazing views we stayed in the building with the patios because we like to have outdoor space to relax we had the end unit which is really nice and more private with an incredible view. Would be a great place for folks that like to take small hikes they have many different trails.
Great pool area one at the hotel and another on top of the property.
The restaurant is wonderful with a real Italian feel with a Michelin star rating and reasonably priced.
It’s worth the drive over the gravel road.
We decided not to go site seeing and just relax here for the day! It’s so Beautiful!
Julie at the reception is great very accommodating and helpful.

Nice but...

Stunning and very evocative place, very helpful and welcoming staff, impeccable restaurant, the dinner was delicious; the only flaw is that the place is left a bit to itself and poorly maintained, with many activities that were not communicated to us, which we would have gladly done if we had known about them. All in all a nice weekend, too bad that everything at the happy hour was in odd numbers... risk of arguments

Oh my goodness!

This is the phrase I saw branded into the eyes of most of the guests already present at the property. Let's just say that a large group with several children is a diabolical nightmare for the various boutique, romantic, charming, petit hotels... Wise, therefore, was the staff's idea to set us apart on a beautiful grass terrace at dinner time. But let's go in order. We frankly did not understand the seizure of our documents until the next day, but the desire to jump into the pool overrides any logical thought, and we head to our rooms to put on our swimsuits. The hotel's atmosphere is wonderful; you are suddenly plunged into a Middle Ages characterized by wood smoke and torch shadows, but fortunately, there is electricity and air conditioning. The style of the rooms is nice, but it is not very functional for 5 people: few power outlets, insufficient places to hang pool towels and various towels. It is fine for one night, but I would not spend an entire vacation there. The pool is absolutely suitable for recreational dips, much to the chagrin of the older guests who must have cursed us. Curses that we then hurled at the restaurant maitre d' since he got everything wrong that could possibly be wrong. Courtesy was not among his prerogatives either, and he risked ruining a nice moment of togetherness; however, the beauty of the place, the affability of his colleagues, and the quality of the food ensured that the evening was truly pleasant. The good quality of sleep and a buffet breakfast (too bad about the coffee and ginseng, truly undrinkable) carried us through to the retrieval of our documents and the end of our stay. Prices certainly not popular, but we were prepared.

La ringraziamo per il tempo dedicato alla recensione. Poiché alcuni passaggi sembrano privilegiare l'effetto narrativo rispetto alla cronaca dei fatti, riteniamo doveroso fornire qualche precisazione. Ha colto perfettamente l'essenza de Le Silve Natural Resort: un luogo scelto dalla maggior parte dei nostri ospiti proprio per la pace, il silenzio e il contatto con la natura. Per questo motivo il nostro staff cerca sempre di trovare il giusto equilibrio tra le esigenze di tutti, offrendo anche alle famiglie con bambini la possibilità di vivere serenamente il soggiorno senza compromettere il relax di chi ha scelto la struttura per concedersi tranquillità. La sistemazione del vostro tavolo in un'area dedicata nasceva proprio da questa attenzione verso tutti gli ospiti, nessuno escluso.
Ci dispiace leggere il giudizio espresso nei confronti del personale di sala. Desideriamo però precisare che il maître, da lei citato, al contrario di come ha riportato ha più volte riletto la comanda prima di consegnarla in cucina e che forse al suo rimprovero le ha ricordato della bontà del suo lavoro.
A volte dovremmo avere più rispetto del personale che lavora orgoglioso del lavoro svolto.
Quindi se lei stesso riconosce cordialità degli altri collaboratori e la qualità della cucina mi sento di estenderla al Maitre .
Per quanto riguarda il ritiro dei documenti all'arrivo, non si tratta di una scelta discrezionale della struttura, bensì di una procedura amministrativa prevista dalla normativa vigente per la registrazione degli ospiti. Comprendiamo che possa apparire insolita a chi non la conosce, ma è un adempimento al quale tutte le strutture ricettive sono tenute. Generalmente la restituzione avviene poco dopo per cui ci rammarichiamo se abbiamo dato l’impressione di volerli trattenere…
Infine, sorridiamo leggendo la sua valutazione sul caffè. Utilizziamo una miscela Illy, marchio riconosciuto a livello internazionale per la sua qualità. Naturalmente può capitare che un'erogazione non sia perfetta o che il gusto personale porti a preferire miscele diverse: su questo siamo sempre disponibili ad accogliere suggerimenti.
Siamo lieti che abbia comunque apprezzato la bellezza del resort, la qualità del cibo e l'atmosfera che caratterizza Le Silve. Se avremo il piacere di ospitarla nuovamente, confidiamo che il fascino del luogo riesca a competere con il numero delle prese elettriche disponibili.

The site is beautiful. It is hard to get to, but the views are amazing. The breakfast was excellent. The pool areas very well tended and lovely. Now the bad: although the listing states they have air conditioning, they don’t. The room we stayed at ( an upgraded unit) was a sauna by the afternoon and the only relief was a noisy fan going all night moving hot air around the room. The beds are very uncomfortable as well; incredibly hard. And the condition of the room, although generally fine, needed some upkeep. If the room had air conditioning (as listed), all else could be overlooked. But as it was it was close to impossible to sleep comfortably.

Not easy to get to, but worth the effort. Spectacular views and great hiking trails. The restaurant was wonderful and the wine list offered some delicious Umbrian wines, including Sagrantino. The breakfast buffet was over the top.
