My beacon in the night

Hotel Ankon was my salvation, the alternative to sleeping under a bridge. That day I had a meeting in Milan until 7pm, I had taken the 8pm train and at 11.30pm I was in Ancona in front of the hotel that my company had booked and already paid for and that in theory should wait for me. Instead nothing, the hotel Cantani disinterested in my arrival and had already closed, despite a nice sign outside the door saying to call a phone number for arrivals after 11 pm. Number no one has ever answered. I can assure you that for a woman to be alone at night in a decentralized and deserted area, under the flood, without having anywhere to go, is not a good situation. I called a taxi that fortunately arrived and asked him to take me to some other nearby hotel. I found the Ankon, who answered my phone and waited, with his last available room. Beyond the relief of finding a roof to sleep under, I discovered a really nice and welcoming hotel. Great service and environment. Promoted across the board!

Cute but Improveable

Simple hotel, about 12 rooms all on the first floor, including breakfast room, so you wake up early x the noises. Clean bathroom but dirty room floor. Room but nice and cozy. Bad coffee because burnt garnish, but very kind in trying to meet you. If you leave late in the day, they keep your luggage, but they don't have a toilet where you can go and on the way to the station there are no bars. There is no sign on the road

The habit does not make the monk....

The exterior is not exciting but the interior is quite comfortable. The area is quiet and there is parking in front of the hotel at 3 € per day.
Clean rooms and friendly staff, comfortable bed.
Sufficient breakfast (little choice of savory) and packaged cakes.
Price 110 per night for a triple

Fine for one really short stays, but set your expectations

Stopped here for one night during our travel.
something that does it worth to mention and it's not really transparent is the location.
actually the place the hotel is located iscloe to the station and the neightbourgh looks not "safe" and a little bit degradated. that's have to be said. You do not feel very "safe" but it could be only a personal impression, beside that nothing "strange" happened.
then, talking about the parking, the hotel does not have a private parking, but there's a public one (free only during weekends) just in front of the hotel, but it's not guarded one.
then the hotel, for a 3 star hotel is almost fine, as pro:
the hosts are really kind, nice and with a good sense of hospitality.
in my opinion the cleaning could be improved, and even the hotel should be cared a little bit more:
1. we found hairs in the bathroom just arrived (we didn't used the bathroom and they were not ours for sure)
2. stains on the sheets: sheets looked clean but there were stains (maybe markers)
3. cracked closet door
these things give you a sense of "neglet".
please, use this feedback to improve.
when a guest stops in a hotel, there are things that are the most important one, such cleaniness and a place that is in "order" with welcoming hosts, despite all the stars the hotel can have. Especially if the location you're in is penalizing you.
this is should be the standard.
If you are not expecting a resort and need a stay for a night is fine, but set your expectations.

Comfortable

Very friendly receptionist, the facility was complete but he hosted us in an apartment nearby.
Comfortable and clean with air conditioning and private bathroom, quiet area.
it is recommended to add refrigerator.
