Dirty rooms

The rooms were dirty, and the price was ridiculous for such substandard accommodations. The children had to climb up a very steep ladder to the loft, it was dangerous. I would not recommend staying here. If they improved the quality of the room, the location and design is lovely.

too much money for this hotel

well I think the amount of money I paid too much for basic room I request it Deluxe Room I got normal room.with no view only a tree front end up with no hot water first night I requested to be checked but no one checked also next day no towels really rooms need renovation need to work over the cleaning very poor cleaning tooo much money 1820 NIS per night including breakfast I think I can get better hotels cheaper and more fancy

The hotel is a bit overpriced- you don't really get your money's worth or value. I understand that this is a war-time and not everything can go to plan but some things suprised me. For example, we paid for a deluxe room and were given a standard room. When this was brought to thier attention, they did not feel inclined to help. The room we stayed in suffered multiple blackouts and kept losing electricity and power and we had to flip the switch on (in the electric box) repeatedly throughout our stay. The website also made it seem that the pool and lounge at the Shangri-la was open when it was in fact closed due to a lack of staff. The main pool area had too many flies to be able to sit comfortably and relax. Other than those issues, the room was clean but a bit run down, the bed was comfortable and there was a nice sized patio. Breakfast was great and the hotel area was easy to navigate by foot even though it was a bit of a steep incline (this hotel is built on and into the side of a mountain). I would hesitate to stay here again.
