The O’Sullivan family offer a warm Irish welcome (Cead mile Fáilte) to guests of their idyllic farmhouse Taobh Coille. With exceptional panoramic views of sea and mountains, taking in the Dingle peninsula across the ocean. We are ideally located on the popular N70 Ring of Kerry route. Guests can enjoy the best of the region. Embrace the scenery, stroll the beaches in Kells and Rossbeigh. Feel the sea breeze as you trek the mountains or walk on the famed "Kerry Way" walking path. Our local pub is 2kms away. Cahersiveen 16km; Glenbeigh 10km. We can arrange a trip to the historic Skellig Islands. Visit picturesque Valentia Island and Portmagee, enjoy gourmet food, great pubs and many outdoor pursuits. Farmstay Experience At Taobh Coille guests are treated to a farm walk to the sea where they encounter cows, calves, sheep, and lambs grazing happily. Guests can bottle feed our pet lambs in the Spring and Summer. We have three working sheep dogs, Milo, Brandy and Shep. Guest can also collect their very own eggs from the hen house and on request Agnes will demonstrate the making of "Irish Soda Bread".

Farmhouse memories

What an amazing couple and a beautiful family. We were met by Agnes with the usual Irish welcome of tea and cake which, after our long journey, was most welcome. The farmhouse was amazing with beautiful views of the sea out the front and mountains at the back and the rooms clean, tidy and very comfortable. I had the Irish breakfast with tea and toast, my partner had porridge, toast and tea which was well cooked and very filling!! Agnes and John are very friendly and could not do enough for us, the craic as we say was mighty!! We felt at home from the minute we arrived and we were sad to leave such a beautiful place and a lovely family atmosphere. When we were leaving Agnes and John were in the kitchen getting a turkey ready for their dinner, John said sure we could stay for another 4 hours and have some dinner, oh how I was tempted to stay . What an amazing few days we had and memories that will stay with us forever. Thank you Agnes and John for sharing your beautiful home with us and making us feel like part of the family.

Great farm B&B with gigantic views of the Atlantic Ocean

Taobh Coille is highly recommended – a traditional farm B&B with good rooms with attached bathrooms, a really good breakfast and great views that are breathtakingly beautiful.
Agnes and John are great hosts. We've told a lot. We would have liked to stay longer!
However, the title picture of the Castle in Cahersiveen is not correct, Cahersiveen is 10 km away.

Taobh Coille

Agnes & John were great hosts. Their property has breathtaking views of the area. They are respectful of your privacy yet available when needed. It's location is right off the Ring of Kerry and convenient to base from. Having the working farm was a perk that made it even more special as they allowed us to assist in some feedings. We will definitely return and stay again.

Just a beautiful peaceful stay

What can I say! This place is just lovely!! Incredible people John and Agnes and made me feel so welcome! The view is stunning from the property. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast was perfect start to the day! Easy to find on the road between Glenbeigh and Cahersiveen. Easy to park and felt so safe! At night, it is so quiet and can’t see anything across the bay! Just the waves and sheep!!

The best place to get a true sense of what Ireland and the wonderful people are really like.

Agnes and John are such wonderful people and welcoming hosts. After running their B&B for 44 years, they seem to have perfected the process of making everyone feel at home. We were able to use Taobh Coille as home base for 4 nights and really explore this part of Ireland and the best part of our journey was returning to our B&B home for a restful evening each night. We hope to return one day and won’t think of staying anywhere else.
