Enjoyed our stay with friends
The bar overlooking the falls was amazing, and we enjoyed walking the grounds and exploring the town. The location was also ideal for a day trip to Doolin and the Aran Islands.
A fantastic family-friendly hotel in a beautiful location. We’d definitely return!

Behind the Beautiful Facade: A Heavy Spiritual Atmosphere
The hotel stands in extraordinarily beautiful surroundings. But by pure chance, I was given a glimpse behind that beauty — into something an ordinary guest would probably never see.
I was visiting the hotel as a guest, spending time to enjoy good music and relax, while also supporting a friend who was working there that evening. Towards the end of the evening, one of the hotel managers approached him.
What followed left me stunned.
I personally heard one of the hotel managers tell my friend that he was useless and that everything he does is rubbish. To me, the way these words were delivered appeared clearly intended to humiliate him.
I froze.
I had never before witnessed such degrading treatment of one human being by another in a professional environment — such ugliness in human behaviour.
And because I was standing right there, I realised that one of the hotel managers apparently regarded me as equally insignificant — as though I were simply not there.
What made the scene particularly humiliating was watching one man in a position of authority degrade another man in front of a woman.
I felt involuntarily drawn into that humiliation simply by being made to stand there and witness it.
For spiritually sensitive people, and I consider myself one of them, atmosphere is not an abstract idea. Places absorb what human beings repeatedly bring into them — kindness and warmth, but also hostility, humiliation and abuse of power. Negative energy does not simply disappear because nobody speaks about it. Left unchallenged, it spreads.
After what I witnessed, the Falls Hotel no longer felt spiritually safe to me.
What makes this experience even more unsettling is an extraordinary coincidence. A few weeks earlier, at the Feakle Festival, I happened to meet a woman from County Clare. The Falls Hotel unexpectedly came up in conversation. She told me that she had previously worked there and described her own very negative experiences involving one of the hotel managers.
At the time, I simply listened.
A few weeks later, I found myself standing there as a guest and witnessing disturbing behaviour with my own eyes.
That coincidence has stayed with me ever since.
I do not believe in answering negativity with more negativity. But neither do I believe that negativity should be allowed to pass silently and leave no trace. What we ignore is given room to grow.
That is why I am writing this review.
For now, I will stay away from the Falls Hotel and I cannot recommend it to my friends. I know places in Ireland where warmth, kindness and humanity can genuinely be felt — places where the atmosphere itself seems to breathe with soul. Those are the places I choose to return to and recommend to the people I care about.
Life is long, and people and places can change. If one day my experience of the Falls Hotel is different, I will be equally willing to come back and say so.

A well worth a visit
Many thanks Mr. David McManus ( GM) and your extremely friendly, efficient and good humoured colleagues of the Falls Hotel. I will be back. Incidentally there is a lovely view of the cascading River on the side of the hotel.

Rooms spacious but a little tired, bathroom was very spacious and bright, clean and good all round. Soaps, shampoo, and body lotions were from Handmade which were great.
