Nice experience

The first impression surprised us a bit because of the old environment... but the owner is very kind and very helpful. The room was tidy and breakfast in the morning was on a cozy and bright terrace!

Very good but old

The host is very nice and accommodating. It offers a very good breakfast.
The house is beautiful, but old. If this is what we are looking for it is perfect otherwise expect to find "period" equipment.
The rooms are spacious and the bathroom functional.

Lovely house

The building was very clean and well kept. We got a very warm welcome from the host, and a filling breakfast in the morning. The house is in a nice quiet area a bit off from Midleton. The room was cozy and spacious. At breakfast we had a nice chat with the host, and she told us about the history of the house, and gave us some great tips for where to go next. The atmosphere was super friendly overall.
The only slight issue was that we kept hearing bird noises from within the walls of our room. The host mentioned that sometimes birds like to live in it. It wasn't very loud, and didn't keep me up at night but it did scare me sometimes
Staying at Balynona house was an amazing experience overall and I'd recommend it to anyone who's planning on staying in the area.

Lovely Homely Rustic Stay

I had a really nice stay at Ballynona recently, such a peaceful and quiet place with really comfortable bed. I slept like a log.
The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. She told me some of the history of the house and things to do in the area. I really admire what she's done with the place, making a go of such an authentic Irish country house experience.
I'd happily stay here again if in the area. It's only 10 or so minutes from Midelton, maybe 20 from Youghal and about 35 minutes from Cork. It's very rural but only a couple of minutes off the N25 main road between Cork and Waterford.

Iron-man youghal

First things first kamla is amazing. Makes you feel so welcome and at home straight away. Her beautiful home is situated close to Middleton and youghal so meant that getting into iron-man was easy and quick. Large room and bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and a cup of tea was always available no matter what the hour. We had a lovely stay here and would recommend highly.
