Unique in peace, beauty and reverence for the land

Cnoc Suain’s cottages—and we rented both of them—have to be among the most charming, sweetly-appointed, gorgeously located, old-school-but-with-every-comfort places to stay in all of Ireland. Dearbhaill, Charlie and Eleanor give you all the privacy you want while answering all your questions about their wild and special project and making sure you feel welcome. We were so happy there.

Extraordinary experience

Extraordinary place in an extraordinary geographic area. We loved our stay here and already hope to return. The place is so thoughtfully designed and appointed. We immediately felt at ease.

Special cozy place

A truly special place in a beautiful setting. Everything has been lovingly restored and furnished with great attention to detail. The peace and tranquility are incredible – the perfect place to relax.
The accommodation was cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome with fresh bread, cake, milk, and muesli.
Our hosts were wonderful and gave us excellent local recommendations. A perfect short getaway – we highly recommend it and would happily stay again!

Perfection

We last visited over 10 years ago and I brought an old friend from America back with me to share the experience. It is just as wonderful as before. The
restored 17 th century cottages, so comfortable and beautifully appointed - the library, the fire, the welcome goodies..and the wildlife. I saw hares, a badger and of course Mo, Rua and Little Leprachaun, Eleanor’s Kerry bog ponies…I could go on and on. You need to experience it for yourself.

Peaceful, comfortable, historic thatch cottage

Beautifully (!!) restored thatch cottage in a very quiet spot. It's definitely convenient to explore Connemara and Galway proper, but, mostly perfect for those looking to just quietly be in the Irish countryside.
