Exquisite

This review is long overdue. My husband and I visited Jens & Barry a couple of years ago, and we still talk about them! Yesterday my husband asked me if I ever wrote the review, and made me promise that I would. So...here it is. I think it speaks for itself if people remember you after a few years. Barry & Jens create a space so warm and welcoming that it feels like home. They pay attention to the smallest of details, their breakfast is sublime (best on that whole trip) the lamps, art, and their energy is just exquisite. THANK YOU! Hope to see you soon x

This gem on the Ring of Kerry was the highlight of our trip to Ireland!

Our two night stay left us wishing for more. Our hosts, Barry and Jens, have refurbished and decorated their home with exquisite detail. The furnishings and artwork are stunning! Our breakfasts both days were incredible and included some delicious homemade chocolate cake, that Jens sent with us both days to enjoy during our travels (he was generous and shared the recipe). These two gentleman are wonderfully gracious hosts. Barry spent a half hour with us after breakfast, to give us a detailed modified route of the Ring of Kerry, that would minimize our bus traffic and focus on the key must see places. It took us over a pass on some back roads, that were equally stunning as the coastline. We experienced a lot of great hospitality in Ireland, yet our stay at Valhalla stood out as the highlight of our trip!

Kerry Gem

One of the best B & Bs we have ever stayed at. Comfortable bedroom, beautiful view, excellent breakfast and welcoming hosts full of local information in a beautifully furnished house. What more could we ask for.

Best stay in Kerry.

Our annual trip to Kenmare for the ring of Beara cycle. Barry and Jens as welcoming as ever. Food, views and hospitality all ten out of ten. A real find in Kenmare - see you next year.
