Rude & intimidating owner
The photos on Booking.com are misleading, they are not a true picture of this place. It has a lovely view albeit with electricity cables & a pylon but it is looking very tired & is quite a distance from central Lovina.
Our stay was not pleasant. We were overcharged for a pick up from Gilimanuk, we now know a taxi would have been 100,000 cheaper.
The owner Arya offered us extras, dolphin swim, massage, & sightseeing taxi but we didn’t want to commit to anything and this appeared to displease him.
We asked if we could use the washing machine but were told we would have to pay extra despite having our own washing powder.
We didn’t get up for breakfast, Arya didn’t mention the included breakfast at all yet he was annoyed at us for not getting up in time. He then accused us of stealing when we used 2 teaspoons of sugar in the kitchen area at 10:30, he said the sugar is only free at breakfast from 8-10am. We thought it was a shared kitchen space, (there are no facilities to make a drink in the room) we didn’t want to cook we only wanted to make a coffee with our own coffee sachets. We apologised but he wouldn’t let it go & accused us of being very disrespectful which was not the case. We felt very intimidated & uncomfortable & felt we had no choice but to leave. He then told booking.com we hadn’t shown up & wanted to charge us a no show fee. This also prevented us from leaving a review on booking.com.
Having now read a lot of previous reviews on Google it appears he does this a lot preventing any poor reviews.
