5 star hotel in the Center of Semarang, very good!
Positive Review for PO Hotel Semarang
We recently stayed at the PO Hotel in Semarang and had a wonderful experience overall. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.
The rooms are beautifully decorated and very logically laid out. Everything feels thoughtfully designed, making our stay comfortable and practical.
The staff deserves special praise, from the friendly team at the check-in/security/door staff to every employee in the restaurant, they were all extremely kind, attentive, and helpful. We really felt welcomed and well taken care of.
The breakfast is truly fantastic. We’re quite used to good hotel breakfasts, but the variety here impressed us a lot. They offer an excellent selection of authentic Javanese dishes alongside a wide range of Asian and Japanese options, including fresh sushi.and of course the European/American dishes It’s genuinely outstanding.
A special mention goes to two wonderful staff members at breakfast: Heru and Tinta. Even though we already know quite a bit about Indonesian cuisine, they enthusiastically introduced us to several new drinks and dishes. It was delightful and made our mornings even more enjoyable. Thank you both!
There’s almost nothing that could be improved at breakfast, but if we had to mention one tiny thing, it’s that the butter isn’t placed at the buffet (though they do have it when you ask). A small detail, but a bit unusual. And the baguettes could be more fresh to be honest.
In terms of facilities, a motorbike parking area on the 6th floor (where car parking is available) would be a great and easily realizable addition. Currently, motorbikes have to be parked a bit further outside (which is free), but it feels less secure than parking inside the hotel.
The swimming pool is decent, though some small maintenance would be welcome. That said, we suspect Asians generally spend less time poolside than we Europeans do, so it might not be a big priority for the hotel.
All in all, these are minor points in what was otherwise an excellent stay. We would warmly recommend PO Hotel Semarang to friends, family, and fellow travelers. Great value, wonderful staff, and a very pleasant experience!

Here for family staycay + conference
Only good experiences here. The hotel was fully booked because of event, but service stays top. Room was spacious and comfy. Breakfast options are quite wide, and all tastes good.

Excellent Stay at PO Hotel Semarang
A wonderful stay with a great location, warm hospitality, and comfortable rooms. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast offered a good variety of choices. Being connected to Paragon Mall was also very convenient.
