We had such an amazing stay at this hotel — it honestly felt like going on a peaceful meditation and yoga retreat. The entire property is beautiful, calm, and incredibly relaxing. The grounds are stunning, the villas are amazing, and the staff made the experience even more special with their warm hospitality.
The onsite restaurant offers so many healthy options and the food was absolutely delicious. One of our favorite parts was that you don’t even need to leave the property to watch the sunset — it’s literally right in your backyard. The hotel also offers a beautiful sunset dinner experience, and so many people from other hotels actually come here just for dinner and sunset, so definitely book early because it gets very popular. They also have live piano music every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday which creates such a relaxing atmosphere.
The infinity pool is amazing and so peaceful to relax in. The location is also perfect — only about 10 minutes to Padang Padang Beach and around 20 minutes to Uluwatu Temple. There are also shops and restaurants within walking distance from the property.
Honestly, we spent most of our time at the hotel because it gives you no reason to leave. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and feels like a true escape. We would definitely stay here again and next time would love to try one of the ocean view rooms. Highly recommended, especially for the value!

Uluwatu Cliff Room Option
We stayed in the Cliff Room at MU Bungalows. We booked the room for 5 days but stayed 3 days. This is a perfect place to stay for a few days but I would not recommend this room for much longer.
Good Points:
Employees are amazing! Everyone was smiling, helpful, and created a welcoming atmosphere.
The Cliff room allows you a seaside experience without the 150 steps of other Uluwatu resorts. Stunning views! The private lounger overlooking the ocean was my favorite place to relax. Listening to the ocean at night was divine.
Food- the included breakfast options were delicious. You have a choice of french style, Balinese, or healthy-style. I ate all options and they were equally good. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner three nights which is unusual for us. We just explored until late and then enjoyed their ocean view/pool side restaurant after we cleaned up. They have grilled seafood items and lots of fresh pasta items. The mushroom fettucine was one of the best meals I have had in a long time!
The stairs and loungers down the cliff are private just for the cliff room.
The spa had incredibly inexpensive high quality massages. Like $25 for an hour!
Challenging points:
When I booked this room, it appeared that I could open up the windows at night to enjoy the cooling ocean breezes. This is not the case because of the monkeys. The room and bathroom have to remain locked up to avoid monkeys stealing items. There is air conditioning for the room but its only so effective since the room is very rustic (the back wall is the actual cliff face) so everything was pretty damp.
The location is south of the now destroyed Bingin Beach. It doesn't affect the views much but it's sad to see the buildings in ruins.
Not a lot close by so you will need to grab a Grab or Gojek to go anywhere.
We loved our stay and would do it again. I just wouldn't book 5 days. Three was plenty!

A lovely week at Mu
We spent a week at Mu Bungalows, as a family of 4 (kids 16 and 18). We stayed at the «Sirena» bungalow, which offers an semi-outside living room area and kitchen, a spacious main bedroom with en-suite bathroom above the living room area, a pool, and a separate building on the other side of the pool, containing 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. All situated in a private courtyard.
All of the bungalow was clean and welcoming. Water bottles already in the fridge upon arrival, and water dispensers in bathrooms and kitchen. Daily cleaning of pool, and all rooms. Very friendly staff all over the resort, who will help with anything with smile.
We felt safe and well taken care of throughout our stay.
A few small shops close by where one can buy snacks and drinks (a proper grocery store, is a longer walk away).
The restaurant at Mu is excellent for all daily meals, and there are other restaurants within walking distance (DiVino Italian food 10 minutes walk, Seed Bingin 2 minutes, The Cashew Tree 10 minutes). All serving good meals.

very nice hotel
l hotel is really nice and beautiful view. We were in the Yoga room in Robinson style. Massages are excellent especially foot massage. Too bad that access to the beach is marred by the demolished construction.
