Beautiful Amed Hotel
We stayed at Mathis Lodge Amed for 2-nights. It was an amazing location high above Amed with breathtaking views.
The hotel room was great, giving a feeling of being “at one” with nature. Large comfortable beds, spacious balcony and good amenities.
The food was fantastic and the staff very helpful, friendly and polite

A Truly Special Experience
What an incredible place. Everything is exceptionally well organized and thoughtfully taken care of. The spaces are beautifully designed, with African-inspired touches that create a warm and grounding atmosphere. Combined with the stunning views, it truly feels like a place where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and find peace.
What makes this stay even more special are the people. Everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and eager to help. The staff make an effort to know you personally and are always there whenever you need anything, making you feel completely at home from the moment you arrive.
The food deserves a special mention as well. I can honestly say this is one of the best places I have ever eaten. The chef is incredibly talented, and every meal was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. I looked forward to every breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I also appreciated the opportunity to give something back to the local community. During my stay, I participated in a small charity initiative where we prepared food packages for local families. It was wonderful to see tourism creating a positive impact for the people who live here.
Above all, I am simply so happy with my experience here. This place combines beauty, comfort, outstanding hospitality, and genuine connection. I highly recommend it and would love to return one day. ❤️

Simply good
5 stars is actually too little. Great location, the service is top-notch, the team is nice, accommodating, and professional. The rooms are great, clean, and you have everything you need. Great room service, the restaurant is very good, the prices are completely reasonable for the level. Massages are also highly recommended, just like the offered events. I have read some things here in the reviews, I can only shake my head at that. We are here on a high mountain; that there are steep paths here should be clear to everyone beforehand. Animals in the middle of the jungle are also completely normal. For those who find it too expensive here, I recommend a tent on the beach and food from the supermarket. The construction site is also tolerable, especially since the Mathis Lodge has nothing to do with it, but they are always informed if it gets a bit louder. We did not find anything negative here and would love to come back. The manager Kumang also always has an open ear and is there for the guests. Thank you very much, dear team.

Absolutely amazing.
Amazing experience. What a special place! The resort sits above Amed with a picturesque view of the ocean and valley. The service was absolutely 5 star.
The restaurant was very good with a view that cannot be beat. Devi, Darki, Tegar, and the rest of the restaurant staff all make you feel welcome and at home during your stay. Under the guidance of Mr. Koman, everything in the room is well prepared and very thoughtful. The staff in the spa are great. Beautiful room and well trained.
The pool is beautiful with plenty of loungers and service all day. The road is a bit bumpy while being resurfaced, but the amazing staff do a great job managing the shuttle that brings you back and forth into town. I would definitely stay again.
The restaurant was very good with a view that cannot be beat. Devi, Darki, Tegar, and the rest of the restaurant staff all make you feel welcome and at home during your stay. The shuttle meeting point is 3 km away, located at Amed Romance House, Jalan Raya Lipah, Raya Amed, Bunutan, Abang, Kabupaten Karangasem, Bali 80852. Guests should contact the hotel at least 48 hours in advance to arrange shuttle pickup. The shuttle is available 9 AM to 6 PM. Parking is available at Amed Romance House for guests who use the shuttle.
