Good place in Bira

Most places in Bira were deserted when I was there. Seems that if it is not weekend you have plenty of choice. I would go for the Riswan again.
Clean bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Not TV. No Wifi. Nice little balcony where you can get your breakfast which is included in the room rate. Riswan, the owner, told me that he usually charges 250000 for an AC-room with attached (hot and cold water) bathroom, but if you stay longer then just two nights he will come down to 200000. He is a very friendly and experienced guy and hands out a very useful map of the region. If you need transport back to Makassar he can arrange that. Good laundry service as well. When I talked to the (few) other tourists then it was clear that Riswan Gueshouse is one of the better options to choose from. Sure, you do not have a beach-view, but the sun-deck (especially useful for women (they can not really sunbath in a bikini on Bira-beach) and the western style toilet are definitely a plus. It is worth the extra 50 000 Rupiahs (compared to most other places). I may add that no towels, soap or toilet paper is provided.
One word about the beaches themselves: they were so dirty - apart from India I have never seen dirtier beaches. Not only full of wood and coconuts but lots and lots of plastic. They started cleaning it up on Bira-beach, but on Bara and the Timur-beach nothing seems to be done about it. So, do not come if you are looking for nice beaches. Come for snorkelling, diving, the friendly people, the walks through the forests and the views from the cliffs.

Felt like home :o) good place to stay in Bira

Riswan Guest House is situated only 5 minutes walk from the main beach. Owner speaks english and he is a great help if you want to explore a nearby area. I stayed in a big room, with AC, balcony, breakfast and hot shower for 250 000 Rp. On the top of the accommodation have a nice terrace, where you can catch some sun if you are to lazy go to the beach. Definitely recommended if you want to stay in Bira town.

Penginapan Murah dan Nyaman Tanjung Bira Bulukumba Sulawesi Selatan Riswan Guest House

Pantai Tanjung Bira merupakan pantai berpasir putih yang sangat terkenal di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Pantai dengan keindahan serta kenyamanannya membuat pantai ini terlihat bersih, rapi dan mempunyai air yang jernih. Karena keindahan dan kenyamanannya tersebut, Tanjung Bira terkenal di mancanegara. Banyak wisatawan asing dari berbagai negara sudah menyambangi objek wisata ini untuk mengisi acara liburan mereka.
Berhubung tanjung bira adalah destinasi wisata yang sangat terkenal teman-teman tidak usah bingung mengenai penginapan dan layanan yang dijamin memenjakan teman2 pengunjung.....SEBUT SAJA RISWAN GUEST HOUSE......
Layanan kamarnya juga sangat nyaman karena memiliki kamar mandi dalam, AC, TV dan Wifi loch....Gammarakki na bilang orang makassar....meskipun tidak terlihat mewah Tapi sudah pasti nyaman..
Di tambah lagi PAK RISWAN sang Pemilik GUEST HOUSE, yang memilki pengetahuan yang sangat luas dan menghafal kondisi serta hal-hal yang tidak d ketahui banyak orang....pokoknya teman-teman akan sangat puas dengan pelayanan beliau......Thanks PAK.
Saya sendiri yang membuktikannya...sudah 10x berkungjung ke tanjung bira tapi tidak bisa move on dari RISWAN GUEST HOUSE....hahahahah

Een prima plek in een mindere stad

We hadden twee tweepersoonskamers met een extra bed bij elkaar voor 400000rp. De kamer was vrij klein en in een van de twee kamers werkte de airco niet heel goed. Het tweepersoonsbed sliep heel goed, maar het extra bed was een heel dun matje waarop je niet op je zij kon liggen omdat het zo dun was.
De badkamer was vrij groot, maar uit de douche kwam niet veel water dus moest je emmertjes scheppen uit de bak. Het water was niet warm.
We hadden een balkon met mooi uitzicht en een geïmproviseerd dakterras waar je 's nachts de sterren kon bekijken.
Het ontbijt was goed: pannekoek of zoete bol. Het was niet ver lopen naar het strand en er was ook wifi, maar alleen op verzoek.
De eigenaar was behulpzaam en heeft ons een kaartje gegeven van de omgeving.

Pilihan yang oke selama di Bira

Guest house ini menawarkan akomodasi yang cukup nyaman, terletak sgt dekat dengan Pantai Bira, cukup banyak restoran disekitarnya, pusat diving, pusat informasi turis, dan toko toko kecil yang menjual suvenir Bira. Tuan rumah selalu siap membantu dengan keramahan.
Fasilitas dalam kamar ada bed untuk 2 org, AC yang dingin, kamar mandi dalam dengan shower, fan, meja rias, dan cable TV yang channelnya cukup lengkap. Jika ingin extra bed bisa didapatkan dengan gratis lho! Dengan harga yang relatif lebih murah drpd hotel atau guest house lain di Bira, tempat ini bisa menjadi opsi yang bagus terutama untuk backpackers. Pagi dapat sarapan berupa roti atau snack lain.
Jika ingin ke Pantai Bara, bisa dengan jalan kaki menyisiri pantai, cukup jauh, hati2 ketika air pasang. Kalau mau lewat darat lebih baik sewa kendaraan, lebih aman apalagi ketika hari sudah gelap.
