This is a rural idyll
We had beach front wooden bungalows with balconies straight out over the water. The view was stunning. The room was well equipped with a/c, fridge and kettle. The bathroom was basic but there was a hot shower so met our needs. It is a little out of the way but the whole island is. You really need to hire a moped but it’s very cheap. Lovely kind staff too. Overall highly recommend.

An absolute gem
We were so lucky to have found Peles place! It’s a little bit of a walk from the town centre but it’s so peaceful compared to the other accomodation in the area. Directly in front of the villas is some incredible snorkelling (and we’re from Western Australia so we’re hard to impress when it comes to dive spots). We saw turtles, lion fish, a small reef shark and so many species of fish - it’s like the cast of Finding Nemo down there! The villa itself was sparkling clean, had air conditioning, nice lighting, a small bar fridge and even hot showers! The restaurant was closed at the time we were there (however many restaurants in Iboih have been affected by COVID and are closed or open intermittently) however the lovely owners were happy to whip us up some amazing banana pancakes and a delicious Nasi Goreng. Could not recommend the place more highly and would definitely stay there again!

Perfect Place to Relax
This Bungalow Place is just a little outside of the Iboih village, 5min walk, and you have an amazing view from the new restaurant terrace! The food has an amazing price quality relation and the people managing the place, especially Ivo, are very welcoming and helpful! They organised a snorkling tour for us and you also can rent scooters! They have two bungalows directly at the seafront: beautiful! Experienced snorklers can go to the water down at the little sea entrance!

Great Place, Great food
We stayed at Pele and enjoyed it a lot. I cannot confirm negative reviews. Maybe we happened to be more lucky or maybe we are just more used to places somewhat off the beaten track. The place is quiet, clean an spacious, nothing to complaint about. Owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. We were lucky to get one of the bungalows which are right on the water, so we could sleep with the sound of the ocean. It had a great terrace looking out to the sea.
Location: Some 5 or 10 minutes outside from Iboi village. Less central, but a lot more quiet. You can also rent a motor scooter for small money. If you go diving with some dive shop on the other beach (we went with Monster, recomended), they usually arrange a pick-up.
Food: The restaurant is great. Try some of the local dishes, the ones you don't recognize the name of. Some of them were absolutely fantastic. They prepare food fresh, so if there is a crowd, you may have to wait some time (happened to us on a holiday when the restaurant next door was closed). In any case you can taste that the food has been prepared fresh.
Snorkeling: The reef directly in front of the place is very healthy and has lots of sea lif, but visibility changes a lot. The first day I hardly saw anything, the next I saw lots of animals, including octopuses, a sea snake, moray eels, trigger fishes, clown fishes and lots of other couloured fishes. If you get further out, closer to the current, you may even see sharks and eagle rays. But be careful if you do that, the currents may be strong.

Unfriendly employee
The owner and receptionist quite friendly. And The palace quite ok. But we want to write review for the couple Who were in-charge at the Coffee Shop. They were very unfriendly to local guest. But very different treatment to foreigner tourist. So sorry for the owner to have employees like them.
