Excellent value and location

Kajeng bungalows’ gardens and pool are really beautiful. In low season, it was also incredibly cheap, especially with very good breakfast brought to your balcony. You go to the sleep to the sound of the river below and all the sounds of nearby Central Ubud are drowned out. So while very close to that very busy area, it is very peaceful. It is a pretty simple place, though. They provided neither soap nor drinkable water. The bathroom in my room was very funky with the open shower at one end and the drain at the other past the toilet and sink. I think there are newer and nicer rooms than the one I had which only had a floor fan and no AC. But even with all that, the price couldn’t be beat. The people are also very friendly and helpful.

Great experience

Awesome people, GORGEOUS property, quiet location, the best included breakfast we’ve had on our trip so far, and a lovely hotel dog. We felt genuinely cared for at Kajeng and will absolutely be returning if we ever end up in Ubud again.

Paradise

I had a wonderful, relaxed stay at Kajeng Bungalows. The location is perfect, only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Ubud down the beautiful Jalan Kajeng (the street with all the writing on it!) All the rooms have balconies facing the ravine which offers the most stunning jungle views. Breakfast is brought to you balcony every morning by the friendly staff and you can hear the waterfall 24/7. I will be returning here every time I go back to Ubud.

Perfect place to find peace in Ubud

Great place near the centre but very quiet - just the sound of the geckos and waterfall. Nice pool, hot water, seriously helpful staff and a very reasonable price of Rp 350,000 in high season for the standard (but pretty large) rooms. Comfy beds and a terrace. Only slight complaint is that the bathroom is a little run down, but that's a minor quibble. Oh yes and all set in a lovely garden courtyard (see pic). Will return next year.

A peaceful homestay

I had a pleasant stay at kajeng Bungalows for two days (4/7/17 to 6/7/17). The hotel is located amidst lots of nature. One can constantly hear the water flow from the near by stream and bird calls. To me its a good place to stay at an affordable price (I paid 1100 INR/day = 17 USD/day). The hotel comes with both pros and cons.
Pros:
(1) Its location. Too good for anyone who wants to have a peaceful time
(2) Very close to all main places in Ubud
(3) the delicious banana pan cake in the complimentary breakfast
(4) the pool. it can very romantic to sit around the pool in the evening and enjoy the nature.
cons:
(1) there is no mirror in the rooms
(2) the furniture's on the balcony were too old and bit shaky
(3) The fan was running too slow and of very little help. I think it may be bit tough on peak summer days. I had no problem though.
Final remarks: Surely among the best hotels on an affordable price.
