Great location basic villa
We stayed at Abangan in the 3 bedroom villa with private pool. This villa had an outdoor living area and kitchen. This was our first time in Bali and being in the jungle at night this attracted a lot of bugs which we were not used too! So we didn’t really make use of the outdoor area however the insides were adequate. Ciara, the host was really helpful and welcoming. She made us feel welcome and was always responsive over WhatsApp, if we ever needed anything. this villa is a great location at the start of the main shopping walk in Ubud. which is easy to get to and so many things in walking distance great location one of the issues that you may encounter here at this villa is the size of the steps leading up to the upstairs bedrooms they are not normal size steps see photos. they change rooms and towels as and when you required and was always someone available to help if you needed anything really helpful really nice chilled out no stress Airbnb

Would not recommend!
Would not even give 1 star, but otherwise I cannot review this accommodation.
Entry road is a very steep hill, which is not described anywhere. We were with a family of 8 with a few elderly people that have trouble walking. No way they were able to walk up or down that hill. We took a look inside and it looked uninspired an run down. Giant steps everywhere, so not possible for out group to stay.
We cancelled our booking and left.

We had a very bad experience here. Not recommended to anyone.
1) Firstly when we arrived the room that was being given to us had no AC working. Then we were shifted to rooms upstairs which we did not ask(cheaper room) though we were charged the high price only. The Manager, Cicha, was not available at property her staff which doesn't understand English very well tried to communicate.
When we spoke to Cicha on call why there was change in room as booking.com showed something else, she said we can look at any other hotel if we have problem with room. Since we were checking in late and it was busy season, we couldn't find place anywhere else and had to submit.
2) We had taken 2 rooms they had broken and filthy toilet, bad cracked walls, furniture in the worst condition and very dirty linen. The water flow in the shower was trickling. And the shower heads were as if never cleaned ever.
3) We were served breakfast in which the lettuce was not cleaned and had a WORM! When I showed to the staff he removed the worm with his hands and served the same plate saying it's okay now.
When I told Cicha this, she said "Didn't control my staff".
4) The main barricade to the hotel is always locked.
The hotel is some 75 meters from there (very steep climb). Whenever I called and requested it to be opened for the taxi, it was never opened, not even once. I had to literally go till the reception and take the staff with me till the barricade to get it opened.
My father who was weak knees also had to get it done 1-2 times when I was not present.
The manager didn't have the decency to even come and meet us personally after all this happened. A simple sorry was sent on WhatsApp.
This place is good only for its location and that is why I feel they act funny. Please be aware before booking here. I would recommend booking your stay in another hotel if possible. BE SAFE.”
