Nice cottage enfront the sea

Staying at Gemo has been one of the best stops we have made during our route through Flores. We felt so comfortable there that we decided to stay an extra day and even arranged to return for another stay on our way back. Located right in front of the sea, it is only necessary to descend three steps to enjoy a lovely evening walk while a delicious dinner with very fresh fish is being prepared for you. We have loved falling asleep to the sound of the sea and have enjoyed spectacular views of Mount Inerie, as the sunrise outlined its perfect silhouette. Without a doubt, we highly recommend it and hope to return someday.

Good location with great views on the beach

We had a spacious room and morning breakfast with bread, omelette and fresh fruit overlooking the sea and volcano. The sandy beach we had all to ourselves because of the rainy season

Paradise where almost!

If paradise exists, there is an annex here.
The family welcome is extraordinary , lunch dinners and breakfasts are excellent and very hearty, the room is simple but comfortable, spacious and very clean. AND the location on a huge deserted beach with the sea and volcano for neighbors, it's just a place where we could stay for a long time.
Small detail: music accompanies everything.
Go there with your eyes closed for lunch, dinner, one or more nights and breathe the soul and conviviality of the place

Loveliest family, great location!

Our driver (Sipri Muda, who is the best!) arranged this hotel for us.
We were the only guests in this hotel and we had dinner together with the family. It was a great experience and fact that the beach is your backyard, with a great view on the Inerie mountain, makes it even better!
Additionally, cottage was clean and spacious.
Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, but we would definitely come back again if we are visiting Flores again.

Way overpriced

These overpriced cottages may have seen better days. The one we stayed in did not match the photos of the place on the Internet. Our toilet did not have a toilet seat, the shower was drizzling weakly, and the small sink was broken (it leaked from beneath). In addition, there is no window screens or mosquito net over the beds, so mosquitoes can waft in at their leisure for their feast.
I realize I may be harsh here, as the owner is nice when you personally meet him and the family may be struggling financially as another reviewer noted, but gouging is still gouging. We paid exactly the same price for other bungalows that had functional showers and a toilet on which we could actually sit.
The breakfast is nothing to write home about: a little plate of fruits and a bunch of local cakes with coffee.
So, yes, you are near the beach, but here again, it does not offset the inflated price.
