Very bad hotels. Made to feel very unwelcome by reception as soon as we entered. No greeting just grabbed room keys and showed us room keys
No towels in room. One room tv did not work and they couldn't fix it. My room no tv was there. I went for a walk and found exlir cliff main hotel got more information from gate security than from reception in our hotel was told about high tea which we were not made aware of. Asked for manager who wouldn't come to hotel until I demanded. His name Arun, very rude and arrogant would not listen to me blamed booking agent for everything until I said booking agent not uncharged of hotel, tv, towels etc. Did not offer any appology but walked away as I was speaking. Will never stay at this hotel again did not feel comfortable or welcome. Everytime I went to reception made to feel like I was troubling them. Breakfast at main hotel Exlir Cliff worst we had on whole tour got a better Breakfast on houseboat. Way to beach very dangerous but a guest from another hotel showed us an easier way to get back Hotel Luca. Don't waste your money sure there are better hotels.

One Star rating - Buyer beware
My experience at Elixar Resort Sasha in Varkala was nothing short of a nightmare, warranting a stark 1-star rating. I feel compelled to warn future travelers to steer clear of this establishment due to their blatant disregard for guest comfort and their apparent sole focus on extracting money.
The primary issue, which made our stay utterly miserable, was the non-functional air conditioning. We reported the problem at 7:30 PM due to the AC not cooling and water leaking. A technician arrived, claimed to have fixed it, only for the problem to recur with a heavier flow of water at 9:30 PM*. Despite multiple requests for a responsible person to address this, we were met with a complete lack of response. It was almost midnight, and we were left with a malfunctioning AC and water gushing out, with no one willing to help.
This lack of accountability is a major red flag. It's clear that the management prioritizes taking your money over ensuring a comfortable stay. This was further emphasized by their insistence on full payment upfront before check-in, a practice that now feels like a calculated move to trap guests before they realize the subpar quality of the property.
Adding to the disappointment, the swimming pool was completely unusable due to the significant amount of dirt in it. This key amenity, often a draw for travelers, was simply out of commission.
Furthermore, the claim of having a restaurant on-site is misleading. There is no proper restaurant within the property. Guests are required to walk 200-300 meters to another property for proper food. This becomes particularly inconvenient, and frankly unacceptable, if it happens to be raining.
While the resort seems to charge prices comparable to a 4-5 star hotel, the actual quality of the rooms is significantly below a 3-star standard. The stark contrast between the price and the quality is deeply concerning.
The only silver lining in this otherwise dreadful experience was the good quality of the food and the responsiveness of the staff serving the food(room service). They were a stark contrast to the unhelpful and absent reception personnel after 9pm. It's a shame that their efforts are overshadowed by the glaring deficiencies in the resort's infrastructure and management's apathy.
In conclusion, I strongly advise upcoming travelers to avoid Elixar Resort Sasha. Their non-responsive nature, coupled with the malfunctioning AC, unusable pool, inconvenient dining situation, and the demand for upfront payment for a substandard room, makes this a property best left unbooked. They seem far more interested in your money than your comfort.
