Total change of scenery

Very good for a total change of scenery.
Attention in January no heating and no hot water. A real torment!

Excellent place,great fun .

We had lovely family Reunion at the fort,the food was awesome and Mrs Madhulika took special care of us .She is a very brave and inspiring lady. We enjoyed the quality time with our family. The staff was very nice specially Mr Deepak was very polite .Would love to visit again someday .

Fabulous stay that felt like sharing a home!

We stayed at this rustic heritage hotel for 2 nights as part of a group tour.
The hotel is currently being renovated to restore it but on our visit the areas for improvement were all located out of sight and didn’t interfere with our stay - the staff are really excited by the plans and showed us the lawns they are laying and billiard room being made in the basement!
The hotel as is, is full of character, big wooden doors, no 2 rooms the same. The rooms we were in were quite dark but really cool with good aircon - some questionable electrics in bathrooms but water was hot and showers powerful. Outside of our room was a huge courtyard lined with shaded chairs to relax and a big green area where the staff played cricket with the kids, brought out table football and even a bunny one evening!
Food was very good and the kids were delighted to see a couple of western options whilst all the veggie curries we tried were really well cooked.
WiFi is good in the areas of the hotel that serve it (the courtyard being one) and there is a gym with equipment that looks brand new so squeezed in 2 early morning workouts as the aircon wasn’t powerful.
Our favourite stay so far of the trip for the hospitality .

Beautiful structure

The heritage hotel is a castle that they are renovating beautifully and are also expanding the number of rooms. Very large rooms and also bathrooms are huge and functional. The gentleman at the reception in the afternoon led us on a tour of the country to see how sesame oil for domestic use is processed, a sort of chapati cooking lessons and while we watched the sunset over the river, surprise shot, a motorbike with two guys from the hotel arrived with picnic tablecloth and tea with biscuits, really very welcome. Dinner in the castle lawn, suggestive. To improve only the breakfast speech with some less Indian style dishes. Great place to relax.
