Nice hotel

Beautiful hotel located in a nice area close to the temple and the palace while being very, very quiet. It is a pretty house furnished with beautiful old furniture. Upon arrival, you are greeted by fantastic staff who will be able to accommodate all your requests. The rooms and bathrooms are large, above the standard of all the places I have stayed in India while remaining within the Indian standard. Hot water, toilet paper, a carafe of filtered water and Wi-Fi are present. When booking, I asked for a continental breakfast with fruit, sandwich bread and coffee, which was perfectly respected.
Best of all, there is the best vegetarian restaurant in Tanjore 20m away open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is an extraordinary buffet at lunchtime for 300 rupees to be reserved for big eaters. The charming boss will know how to make you taste all kinds of excellent dishes.

Great restaurant next door!

The inn is a nice small hotel/homestay. The room and bathroom were generous size, the bathroom could have been cleaner and perhaps equipped with more shelves, hangers for toiletries and towels. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast very nice. The location is very close to the big temple around 1km, and there is an excellent restaurant a few doors down, Chellannals Manpaanai Samayal.

Not to be recommended

We would not recommend this inn. It’s in need of updating. The deluxe room was anything but! We had to ask for a top sheet on the bed and the bathroom was poor.
Breakfast was similarly inadequate with offering of fruit and bread. We did get an omelette when we asked but it was not offered.
Overall not a pleasant stay

Too bad, it could be great!

It's a shame because it could be wonderful! Ancient house used as a B&B, unfortunately cleanliness of rooms and above all non-existent bathroom, cold water, non-existent bed sheets!
It's really a shame because the location is beautiful, the young guys who run it instead of spending all the time on their cell phones could do with cleaning up the rooms and the patio which is truly shameful! Thanks to the guy for his really kind!

Comfortable but needs refurbishment

This is a small hotel with few rooms. The people managing the property are extremely friendly. The rooms are clean but is in need of some refurbishment. The window blind in the room was falling off and tied to the window with strings. The shower in the washroom spewed water in almost any direction and the pipes were leaking. With small investment this place can be much better. Carry your own toiletries. There is a traditional Tamil food restaurant next door which was nice. The hotel diligently served tea and coffee and also breakfast which we didn't have.
