fanistic cheap hotel iin mumbai in colaba close to resturant and shops and markets. Very nice clean rooms and the people who working this are friendly. Near to all atractif tourest atractive places wich you will like.

Dirty

We're met at the hotel by friendly staff. The room that we stayed in was dirty & needs redecorating.The whole building is in a similar state. It was situated in Colaba and quite central but in my opinion that was the only good point

I feel bad for saying it but...

My girlfriend and I are currently travelling through India. Our first stop was Mumbai. We chose this hotel as it was only R2000 per night, and as we are back-packing, it was around our budget...
The entrance is a bit fragile looking and the staircase up to the 3rd floor where the hotel is located looks like it could fall through at any moment.
Our welcome was fine, the guys were all really nice and helpful. Which is why I feel bad for leaving this review. They are nice people, but our room was kind of awful... I know this is Mumbai, and most of the city seem to live in complete poverty, but as a traveller, it wasn't great...
Our room was fine for size, and the bed was fine, any bed is fine for us really, but the noise in the room is almost unbearable... The air con or fan MUST be on throughout the night or you'd melt, but both are so noisy, with involuntary bangs every so often. The room has a fridge which is great, but has the same issue with noise.
The bathroom was our main issue. The shower was just leaking water all over the place, we had buckets in there to catch it but it would overflow very quickly so that if we needed to use the toilet our feet would be immersed in disgusting water... Anything put into the sink drained down the pipe and out onto the floor.
We are both very positive, upbeat people and thought that perhaps this is just India (this is our first time here) and that we were being a bit snooty, so we just dealt with it without complaining, but a few days later we stayed in a wonderful hotel in Jaipur for less than half the price we paid for this hotel, and so we felt we should write a review here, just to warn any other backpackers who are considering staying. The pictures of the hotel are so so deceiving. Also all of the staff sleep on the reception floor during the night, crowded together. This didn't bother me but it might bother some.
In saying that, the staff were very friendly and have the right attitude, which is really the reason I gave this 2 blobs and not 1.

Buena opción económica en Colaba

Llegamos a Mumbai sin saber donde ibamos a alojarnos y todos los blogs de viajes recomiendan ir a la zona de Colaba, ya que es la zona mochilera y más turística. En un blog decían que se habían quedado alojados en el hotel Blue bird Colaba así que nos dirigimos hacia allí, pero el precio que nos quisieron cobrar nos pareció excesivo (al menos para nuestro presupuesto mochilero). Además, el recepcionista no estaba abierto a la negociación, así que nos marchamos pero en seguida nos paró un chico y nos llevó hacia otro hotel que estaba justo enfrente (algo más escondido, ya que se llegaba en un ascensor a la tercera planta). Nos enseñaron una habitación y estaba bastante bien por el precio (considerando que Mumbai es la ciudad más cara de India), así que decidimos quedarnos. La habitación era bastante amplia y todo era correcto, agua caliente, ventilador y tele de pantalla plana, además de un sofá con una mesita (donde por cierto, está permitido fumar). No obstante, el colchón era muy delgado y al dormir notabas como la cadera se clavaba en la madera de abajo. Salvo este detalle, el personal es muy amable y recomendamos este hotel como una opción económica donde alojarte en Mumbai (pero no más de una noche seguida, tu espalda te lo agradecerá!).

Alles bestens

Im grossen und ganzen alles gut. Zimmer war sauber, Bettwäsche auch, obwohl es mitten in der Stadt ist war es sehr ruhig. Klimaanlage war vorhanden. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Freier unkomplizierter internet Zugang bzw wlan
