Before going to bed, you can take a walk and enjoy the main landmarks of the city.At the hotel You can stop by the bar. You can stop by the restaurant. Specially for tourists who travel by car, there’s a parking zone. You won’t have to leave your pet at home as they are allowed. For the free movement around the city, the hotel offers a transfer for you. At the guests’ disposal, there’s also car rental.

Decent and Safe place

Stayed here the whole of Sep 16. Enjoyed the comfortable rooms. They used to give me a free upgrade when the reserved room was yet to be vacated. Pradeep the owner is a young man, very cooperative and nice guy. Keeps in touch even now. Nagaraj the caretaker is always available for your needs. Its a sprawing area with different levels. Old people can request the upper deluxe rooms.
Of course there is no wifi or restaurant except Mud Pie on the same building. The closest one is Tandoori Hut where you get takeaways and you can ask the food to be delivered here or even ask Mr Nagaraj to collect your food order.
My stay if i visit Kotagiri again is definitely Celestial Resorts.

Wouldnt visit again

The place cant be exactly called a resort in the 1st place,it is more like a hotel. The entrance is very steep which is not vehicle friendly. we took an elite suite. The room was really spacious and well furnished with a really huge bathroom,which appeared to be worth much more than the amount paid..the view thro the balcony was also nice.. But there was leakage problem in the bathroom leaving it always wet...so we had to always keep the valves closed...there was also no hair dryer available...the water supply also stopped and was very scanty in between...proper action was not taken regarding these....but the cleaning staff were very polite and they were quick in providing toiletries etc whenever needed ...the only problem with this place is their poor maintenance and unavailability of drinking water within the place. Their dining is also not vegetarian friendly..

excellent homely stay

Visited in December end with family.
It was a perfect homely holiday. Mr. Pradeep, the owner was warm n friendly.
A special mention about Mr. Nagaraj, the manager cum All-in-one. He took special care to address all our requirements. The food was homely.
Overall, a pleasant stay. Will definitely want to repeat whenever possible.

Dissapointing holiday

We were looking for a family holiday in ooty, since rooms were unavailable there, booked here in kotagiri. Since the reviews and pictures looked nice on their website I contacted the number directly and spoke to this person Deepan who assured me that we would really like the place and it's service.
On the 24th of May, 2017 we reached the place at 12.30pm.... the entrance to this place is so steep that it was dicey to get the vehicle in. We were informed to wait as our room was not ready and that it was being cleaned.... it took another hour and we had to wait outside with the kids who were tired and hungry as we had left Bangalore at 5am. The room was good and bathroom with tub n jacuzzi but no water at all. It was frustrating that there was no water in the toilet even to flush after the kids used it. The staff had no knowledge of the use of the jacuzzi. Since water was not available, we were shifted to another room. Lunch was served which was OK. We kept calling Deepan to complain on all this but he would just not answer the phone... we were forced to cancel our holiday n checkout the next day. On hearing this he gave us an option of using the toilet in another room while we were staying in a different room.
The pics posted on their site are the pics taken in the initial stage... the rooms are not maintained like that. No channels on the TV. Wifi only in the reception it seems. We were informed there..... we were on the whole irritated and frustrated with this resort. And then we had already paid an advance of 6000. Shockingly we were asked to pay up the balance on check in, which we disagreed thankfully.
No play area as mentioned on their site, restaurant food is horrible..... room service for food is a long wait... staff speak only the regional language..... to sum it up, waste of time n money... 5500 plus tax for all this.... never again to this place n do not recommend at all

Comfortable stay but services can be improved

Celestial resorts is reasonably good place to stay for a day. It does not have in house restaurant. Quality of service needs to be improved. Rooms are OK for a day.
It is situated at heart of city
Overall I was not very satisfied with stay. I think it could be much much better
