Vaishno Devi Trip

Economic & Best for middle class people. Accomodation available per Dormitory basis or rooms available in this complex. Katra market is nearby to go for shopping. Lift available for old age or senior citizens.

Terrible

Pathetic and dirty rooms. Bathrooms were smelling. All linen were dirty. Wash basin and toilet seats had not been cleaned. Staff was very arrogant. On asking staff to clean the toilet, he was cleaning the toilet seat with a viper and water. He said he didn't have any surf or harpic. We ordered tea which was full of ants.
Highly regretted booking this hotel. Would not recommend it to anyone

Beware: Unreliable and Disappointing Experience at Hotel Ashirwad Katra

My recent stay at Hotel Ashirwad Katra was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite making a booking through Cleartrip with confirmed reservation, upon arrival, the hotel staff shockingly refused to honor our booking. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customers' plans is utterly unacceptable.
Not only did this experience cause inconvenience, but it also disrupted our entire travel itinerary. The lack of accountability and communication from the hotel management further compounded the issue. It's disheartening to see such negligence towards guests.
I strongly advise fellow travelers to steer clear of Hotel Ashirwad Katra. Don't risk your plans and peace of mind by booking with them. Let's choose establishments that value their customers and uphold their commitments. #TravelCaution #HotelReview #AvoidHotelAshirwadKatra

Its an average hotel

Have been to katra several times
and thus time stayed at hotel Ashirwaad katra.
The rooms are not so clean so were the washrooms.
The food was good and staff was cooperative
The owner of this hotel is very friendly and helpful

Nice and economical hotel in Katra

The rates of Hotel Ashirwad are competitive enough as compared to other hotels in Katra. Location is although far away (around 2 km) from starting point of yatra for Vaishno Devi temple, but is located near to the junction of Jammu-Katra and Jammu-Kashmir road. Therefore, transportation is not a problem at any time from this location. Staff was friendly and cleanliness was okay in the rooms.
