decent people + good food

The hotel staff are decent and the location is very near the the railway station. The food served is tasty. Although there is no restaurant in the hotel. But they have room service..

Short visit but they could do better

We stayed in hotel for may be just 2 hours in the day but surely they can do much better .
To start with room wasnt ready and reception desk was unsure which room to give.
During power outage their AC works but their water geyser doesn't, its strange but true..
When our only purpose was to take bath with hot water and rush to temple for pooja this was a bit unnerving. My mom who is elderly lady had issues while coming down from stairs as their lift doesn't work during power cut..
Summary : They have great location close to Station and can work on these power cut issues while ensuring room is ready when person comes in after check in time..

Price was too high considering the facilities

The room was suffocated with only one window.,against which was a high wall.so in that room without ac it was like a prison .Though room wax clean but the shower was not working , toiletries were insufficient and cheap quality.Only one towel for two persons. No wardrobe ,dressing table,only a all tv having few channels Only plus point is proximity .It was very near to the station and a lot eateries

Hotel City Inn

Its a budget hotel with amazing staff. Nearby to the station, with a walk of around 5 mins. Its best if you choose an online platform to book the rooms as it would be far cheaper than offline. Even the hotel staff would recommend the same.

Avoid if you can

Reception looks nice as with many places. Check in process was smooth. Paid for an A/c room with tv facilities.
Upon reaching the room we noticed the linen was not fresh. Ladies hair and marks of lipstick or something else on the bed sheet. When I questioned the porter he tried to brush it away saying it is normal and “good enough”.
Then comes the towel. We were two persons but there was only one towel provided. That towel might have been ‘washed’ but was definitely not white in colour. What I mean to say here is that the towel might have been in use for a long amount of time and washed inadequately to make it change colour from white to cream. No toiletries were provided barring a hand wash lotion.
Then comes TV - not working at all. I mean it switches on, but that’s about it. No channels to view. Upon complaint to the porter, who promised to look into it, I never heard back anything. Cherry on the cake is I even tipped the guy well enough in the anticipation that he would look after us well.
Then comes the telephone - since the tv was not working I tried to call reception. The number was hand written on a sticker, code 11. I tried this and it went through to room 2**. We also received unexpected calls from other rooms who I guess were also trying to call the reception like me.
Then comes the shower - the water pressure was low for the shower to be effective even when using cold water. And there is no hot water. Was told to order this from room service, who can bring hot water. Don’t know if this is free or some form of tip is expected.
