A Perfect Coastal Escape: Comfort, Views & Warm Hospitality at Hotel Ridley International
Our recent stay at Hotel Ridley International was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully curated to make our experience truly memorable.
The swimming pool was one of the highlights which is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for unwinding after a day out. The food deserves a special mention too, delicious, beautifully presented, and satisfying in every way. Hygiene standards across the hotel were excellent, which made our stay even more comfortable and stress-free.
One of the biggest advantages of this property is its location. The serene New Digha Sea Beach is just a 4-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy the sea whenever you wish. Even more special was waking up to the sight of the Jagannath Temple right from our balcony and just about 700 meters away, adding a peaceful and spiritual charm to the stay.
What truly made our experience stand out was the staff. Always polite, attentive, and welcoming, they carried warm smiles that made us feel at home throughout. The ambience of the hotel, complemented by soft music, created a relaxing and soothing environment that we absolutely loved.
Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to New Digha. A perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and warmth!

Disappointing stay
Disappointing Stay
Unfortunately, our recent stay at this hotel was far from comfortable. To begin with, we had to change rooms three times, which itself was extremely frustrating.
The first room allotted to us was very small, and the washroom was extremely dirty. We requested a change and were shifted to a second room, which also had to be vacated due to water logging in the bathroom. The third room had a double bed along with a sofa-cum-bed; however, the extendable part of the sofa bed kept falling apart every time it was used, making it very difficult to sleep comfortably at night.
The complimentary morning buffet was another disappointment. The breakfast spread was extremely limited, and even a basic option like a masala omelette was not available. Additionally, tea was served in small paper cups, which was quite disappointing and did not meet basic hospitality standards.
Another major concern was housekeeping. During our three-night stay, housekeeping was done only once, and even then, it was limited to sweeping and mopping the room. The washroom was not cleaned, and bed linens were not changed, which was unacceptable.
Furthermore, from around 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, loud music was played on the rooftop every evening. The noise was extremely disturbing, and we had to request repeatedly for the music to be stopped, which affected our ability to rest.
Overall, the stay did not meet basic expectations in terms of room quality, cleanliness, maintenance, food service, or guest comfort. We sincerely hope the management takes these concerns seriously and takes corrective steps to improve the overall guest experience.

Nothing extraordinary
The hotel was not allowing me to check-in because apparently they have a very weird policy of not allowing one person to check-in. After requesting, they allowed me.
Room was good given the price, but was extremely dirty when i checked-in, it was cleaned the next day.
TV was working very well (most of the channels were coming) but from the second day, the TV stopped working. When i informed this to the manager, he asked me to 'keep pressing the buttons on the remote and it will work'. The TV never worked.
The water from the basin went through an open pipe beside the toilet and overflowed onto the toilet itself.
The manager forcefully took 5-star ratings from me saying there will be a lucky draw and the winner will get to travel to Mumbai. I highly doubt that happens and i believe it was a ploy to get 5-star ratings.
There are definitely some good things about the hotel - the pool is clean and well-maintained (although the music system doesn't work), room service is extraordinary and food is amazing as well. The location is also very good.
Don't believe the Goibibo ratings because they might have been manipulated, like they did with my ratings.

Worst Hotel Experience
Worst service experience I have ever had. The receptionist, Ritika, was extremely rude and unprofessional in her behavior. Instead of assisting properly, she spoke in a very disrespectful manner and showed no interest in resolving concerns. The security staff also provided incorrect and misleading information, which created unnecessary confusion and inconvenience. Overall, the staff seemed poorly trained and lacked basic customer service skills. What was most frustrating was that they kept changing their statements repeatedly, which made the entire situation even more unreliable and stressful. There was no coordination among the team, and no one took responsibility for the issues faced. I am highly disappointed with the service and would not recommend this place to anyone expecting professionalism and respectful treatment.
