Malgudi the surviver and a perfect service apartment
Me and my family had stayed for 8 days a perfect 2bhk apartment with well equipped furnished flats, power backup, proper and polite staff which will help you in all types of transport and issues inside the apartment.
The owner of the apartment was friendly and helped us in getting all the amenities needed for residing there.
Staff are team of four who had helped us in making the time in living in Malgudi lively...

Marketing sucess
The name Malgudi Holidays is a catchy name. There is nothing great for the money and standards of a hotel .The walls of the rooms are damp. There is no proper Electricity supply and support system not there. There is a unbranded tv in the rooms and they don’t function. Total cost for the stay was four thousand plus per day with tea billing was for one hundred and ninty . I kept milk and curd in fridge and no news of them.

EXCELLENT KANNUR STAY with GREAT SERVICE
Dear All,
We, Me and Marek travelled from Manchester, UK as part of our Business trip to Kerala. During the trip we stayed in Malgudi Holidays to attend one of my cousin's wedding.
The host Arjun and team were extra ordinary with full support 24/7. Any queries raised attended in minutes like AC, Hot Water, Food, Medicine etc.
A clean calm place in the city. But guaranteed you will feel relaxed with the facilities and services provided.
Lots of informations about local attractions provided like leaflets and they even arrange local known tour guides with AC cars etc.
Something we definitely recommend someone who would like to explore Kannur, the Northern Kerala.
Transportation links Local Airport 30 minutes drive and railways station is just a walking distance.

Feel at home - Walking distance to the Beach and town
Homely and Clean - narrow access but no traffic or crowd
Friendly staff - SPA available at a very minimum rate
Plenty of cuisines available nearby, Enjoyed a peaceful stay
open terrace to enjoy Arabian sea breeze

The third rate best exotic Marigold Hotel
You can appreciate Malgudi Holidays home stay if you look at it as a template for the Marigold Hotel movies. A totally run down place, but managed by an energetic and apologetic manager, cook, bellboy all rolled into one.
But in all seriousness i think most of the Hostel movies were shot in this place.
They have gone a bit far in trying to portray a very homely image by giving you used bed sheets and pillow covers and towels, with stains and marks from the countless others who have used them before.
The bathrooms are a work of art with rusted mirrors and open live wires sticking out of the wall where a hot water heater should have been. You get that lovely thrill that you will be shocked to death while taking a shower. Quite an exhilarating experience.
Honestly, even after all the negative feedback on this forum, the promoters/owners of the place have done nothing to rectify any of the complaints shows their interest in the place.
Like i said before, the only positive about this place is Akash the one man army who does his best to make things work with the limited resources he has.
