Perfect stay in nature for those who prefer less touristic and unique experience.
First of all, the owner, Shaa, was super helpful and warm. He organized us a taxi from the airport at night, Theyam ritual watching, wonderful breakfast-lunch-dinner, etc. Our room had a terrace to the little river and a wetland, so it's a perfect place for birdwatching just from your doorstep. Also you can see stunning sunrises from this terrace. Room was clean and with a working AC. Around 300 meters away there is a peaceful Thottada beach, perfrect for swimming and sunsets. Also the local people there are very welcoming. We haven't witnessed any tourist scams whatsoever. Local supermarkets can be reached by foot in 10 minutes or 4minutes by rickshaw. Kannur west beach house is a small and honest family business and we wish them all the best.

A place where you can spend a relaxing and peaceful time
The bird calls that could be heard from the balcony of the room and the view of the mangroves and palm trees were very beautiful.
Thottada Beach, a 5-minute walk away, had almost no tourists and the sand was clean, making it the best of the various beaches I visited in India.
The owner, Sha, was a kind person with great hospitality. The food made by his wife, Jisi, was tastier and more gentle than the famous restaurants in Kannur. I especially liked the squid curry and fish curry!
I had a relaxing and peaceful time. I would like to visit again. Thank you for your stay.
