Privately owned apartment wonderful

Stayed in a privately owned apartment in block A1 the rooms were spacious, well appointed and cleaned every third day, towels bedding all changed . Has a fridge and convection cooker and a safe . Overlooks one of the pools so great outlook. Gets a little noisy with festivals and younger Indian tourists but not too boisterous as there is always security on the netrance who manage the property well especially the pool rules.

Cockroaches!

Stay away from the Monarch Palms Sun and Sands building A #102. Owners name is is Sumit. The apartment was dirty and the kitchen filled with roaches.
Our first problem was the travel company. We used Travel O Goa/Travel O Villas. The contact person, Vicky, was not the least bit helpful. He sent us pictures of a clean unit and put us up in this filthy one. We had paid in Cash (big mistake on my part). They did not offer alternate accommodations and did not refund any of our money. Don’t use them for anything.
Second problem was the owner. Instead of coming himself he sent the property manager. She came with a can of bug spray. She told us the PREVIOUS renters had also complained about roaches. When we said this was unacceptable she called the owner. We had already waited 45 minutes for her and the asked us to wait in this filthy place another 30 minutes for the owner to get off his backside and come to talk with us in person
If you are looking to rent an apartment I would avoid this building altogether.
If you are a unit owner in block A. The owner of 102 is not keeping his place clean and is likely to infest your entire building with roaches

Building site

Sun n sand complex has building work going on from 07.30 till 1800 hrs... place is full of Indian guys who don’t know how to behave, get drunk throw litter on ground, in swimming pool with clothes on etc. wild dogs roam about barking like crazy at all hours eat, garbage bags at entrance of complex stinks and dogs rake through it, leaving it all scattered about. Bikes and taxis come and go and are not checked who is in them, lack of security etc etc , this place is going to the dogs so to speak, owners are not here and brokers don’t care a toss
