Awesome stay in Hotel Senator

I had a wonderful stay at this 4-star hotel. The ambiance was elegant, peaceful, and very welcoming, making the overall experience truly relaxing. The food was excellent with a wide variety of delicious dishes and great presentation.
What impressed me the most was the hospitality of the staff. Everyone was courteous, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The service was prompt and professional throughout the stay.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great food, good ambiance, and exceptional staff service.

Worst Hotel Ever

The rooms are extremely small. I paid the entire amount upfront during booking, but they still added hidden charges for a second occupant upon arrival. I informed the reception that a partner would be joining me and pointed out that I had already paid a large amount for a 7-night stay. The staff insisted on extra charges plus taxes. Later during the stay, they changed their story and claimed the extra charge was per day, not a one-time fee. This inconsistent billing makes it very hard to trust their business practices. A standard room usually accommodates two people; I booked for myself and added the guest later, but their strict extra-pricing policy ruined the experience. Additionally, the hotel is located on Camac Street, which suffers from heavy waterlogging even after minor rain. I was stuck inside the hotel for an entire day because of the flooded street. I do not recommend this place.

Good stay on Camac street

Stayed here for 2 nights. The location is great. The property is on Camac street and opposite to Haldiram's fast food joint. Several of the places to visit are close to the hotel. Right in front of the hotel, there is yellow taxi stand so transport is never a problem. Only Dakshineshwar Kali temple and Belur Math are far from this location. But one can take the metro from Rabindra Sadan metro station and you can reach Dakshineshwar in only 30 minutes.
Food served at the hotel is fine. There are several eateries nearby so finding good food is never a problem. Monkey Bar is just a 1-minute walk away from the hotel and has a good view of the Victoria memorial. There are multiple CCTVs on almost every floor so I felt safe. The rooms are clean. The AC works consistently and we had no issues. The Senator hotel is great for those who are visiting Kolkata. The staff is friendly and they attended to requests very promptly. The hotel didn't charge anything extra for early check-in. I do have some minor complaints such as, old furnishings, curtain near the commode, old cups, and others. But on the whole, our stay was good. The restaurant within the hotel is also nice. It has great empathetic staff and the place serves good food.

Nice Business Hotel in good area

Safe place with clean rooms and bathroom. Decent and Friendly Staff. I wish they did complimentary breakfast without any additional cost. I stayed here on 25th Dec 2020 and the stay was pleasant. I opted for a room which was not road facing and the sleep quality was good.
