Perfect place to spent time with family in a beautiful surrounding
Visited this place last week and loved it. It’s even more beautiful than the pictures. Very close to Siliserh Lake with amazing views, and Garbaji Fall is just 3 km away.
Staff is polite, helpful, and quick to respond. Food was simple, homely, and healthy with less oil and spices. Menu is basic but quality is very good. Rooms are a bit small, but décor and furniture are classy, and the property is very clean and well maintained.
Only downside is that it’s far from Alwar city and roads are bumpy, so sightseeing takes time.
Perfect place to relax with family and enjoy nature and heritage vibes at a reasonable price. If your focus is sightseeing in Alwar, better to stay closer to the city.

Average Property
I went there with high hopes as they were rated very high (4.4) on google, but somehow the property didn’t excite me that much. Some of the pros and cons of this property are as follows:
Pros:
1) Calm and quiet place
2) Ample car parking
3) Nice swimming pool
4) Nice high tea
5) One can hear lots of birds chirping throughout the day
6) Distant view of lake Siliserh
Cons:
1) Warm hospitality, which we expected at a Rajasthan property, was absolutely missing.
2) No smiling faces during check-in
3) Welcome drink was ordinary Roohafza.
4) Though I had booked a bigger room for 3 adults, we were given Vishwamitra room, which was not so spacious.
5) No special interior decoration matching with its heritage status.
6) No refrigerator in room.
7) Leaky washbasin causing wet washroom floor.
8) Absolutely no view from the room.
9) Fan regulator not functional.
10) Restaurant timings not suitable for leisure travellers. Generally in such resorts breakfast is served upto 1030 hrs. Whereas here it was available till 0930 only. Worst thing was, when we were having coffee after breakfast at around 1015, one of the waiter came and asked ‘Sir, how long you will take more!!’ This was too much, never had such bad experience anywhere else.
10) Buffet spread was very limited and during breakfast no one was asking for anything to be served on table. Generally, restaurant staff asks you for items to be served from live counters like omelette etc. but here no such courtesy was available.
11) No luggage assistance at the time of check out.
12) Unconcerned front desk staff at the time of check-out.
I would have rated this property less than 4 star but I have huge respect for those who have taken great pains in restoring such heritage buildings, as it requires stupendous efforts.

THE best hotel in 4 weeks of travel, stunning!
The Ram Bahari at Alwah is about 30 minutes from the centre of Alwar, nestling amongst the hills of Sariska Tiger Park.
Overlooking the lake.
A more picturesque spot would be very hard to find.
The palace is small but very comfortable and clean.
My room is at the corner of the hotel roof and the door opens onto a vista of the Far Hills and the lake below.
I am stunned at the affordable luxury that is available to an Australian of moderate means.
I am waited on by Dilip Kumar who is friendly and helpful.
I'm eating a snack for lunch as I write this.
Paneer pakora and cream of mushroom soup.
It's delicious.
All up this amazing place is going to be about $130/night including food.
Beat that Australia!
Theres an infinity pool too.
Clean but very cold (it's their winter).
Still I'm going for a dip tonight.
It's 'wedding season ' here and a big one cranks up tomorrow morning so perhaps it's best I am moving on.
Still, it's going to be hard to leave.

Visited Ram Bihari Palace on August 2025.
First, the resort is quite good, very spacious, surrounded by hills and view is great due to lake and mountains very nearby. Most of the facilities were good and the staff were courteous. But some negatives needs to be pointed out
1. The Suite we stayed called Ahilya just has 1 AC whereas the room is quite big, this makes is very hot in one side of the room where a bed has been put.
2. The water force in the bathroom is good as nil, there was absolutely no pressure from the tap plus all bathrooms should necessarily have exhaust fan which was not available
3. The road that we arrive to this place is just horrible, actuially hardly any road is there but its not thier fault, unfortunately we as guests have to suffer.
4. The biggest issue in all these resorts or in such hotels are the matresses. it is nothing short of breaking your back. Now a days mattresses like MM foam or matress with pure natural rubber which are extremely comfortable for your back has to be made mandatory as such spring type mattresses breaks your back and your get up in the morning with all soreness
5. The management has to really improve the cultural programme they conduct, it has become such a banal music programme where you get to hear the same old folk songs and dance, need to bring in some change to the musical programs if you want to make it attractive.

Decent place, not so great food, rooms can be maintained better
The property has a beautiful location, nice views, old world structure is impressive. The swimming pool is open air but nice. They have an evening performance for local folks artists which is good. An overnight stay is a good idea. However,
1. The food is all vegetarian and very average.
2. The rooms can be cleaner, there was a bat in our room, we found cobwebs and the bathroom had a damp smell.
3. The water pressure in the shower is not good.
4. Avoid going in non-winter months. It's very hot or humid.
